Martin Luther King, Jr. Park

History: Back in my early childhood years I drew up in this very area. There was a swimming pool and recreational area for us children to come to during the Summer months. Then, many, many, many years later a Sinkhole took the pool, a few homes and a local car dealership too. And directly across from this present day park was a some homes and apartment duplexes. But, now this beautiful park is a makeover from what it once was. In this quaint neighborhood sits this wonderful place(love the name)where people in the neighborhood and/or people passing through can come rest or play with their children here. The naming of this park fits what the neighborhood once was.

We absolutely enjoyed visiting Martin Luther King Jr nice park and library. We took advantage of the great weather and took amazing photographs for me and my doggy. 100% recommended for a nice walk, spend time with your loved ones and nice canvas for cute photos 📸

Pros: Large wooden "castle" park with a beautiful walking area and fitness equipment. Lots of climbing for the kiddos. A couple slides and swings too! Bathrooms available soccer fields and a Pavillion for parties

Cons: the inside if the wooden play area is very tiny. You may have a harder time fitting in the smaller spaces if you want to accompany younger children.

This place was amazing. We went at 10am and the playground was still mostly shaded! Parking was ample and it was easy to social distance with the kiddos. Their “trails” are more like sidewalks that frame the park but it was still enjoyable to walk around the multiple bridges and look at all the wildlife in their ponds (ducks, herons, and cranes). My family had a good time. It was also nice that there were tons of restaurants nearby! We just let the kids play until they were hungry. Win-Win!

We love this beautiful park! It sports a decent sized wooden castle for the kids, a beautifully large pond with fountains and mallards, several bridges over the water, an exercise area with modern machines, and several large sports field. We've never had trouble parking and it always is comfortable. Plenty of shade too.

What a great little park we stumbled upon by accident. Had a real family and community feel to it. Really good for kids with a nice playground and plenty of birds to look at and feed. The park even has a sun screen dispenser at the entrance to the children’s playground.

Love this park! We have been coming here for several years with our little guy. Perfect playground for younger kids. The park itself is very pretty and clean. Often you’ll find ducks around the water and fountain. We love coming here!

One of the best parks for kids, to let kids explore and have fun. They can almost get lost through all the different paths in this excellent wooden park. It brings me memories of a favorite park by where I grew up that no longer exists. The only thing I will say is this is not a park to let the kids just run free. If you like to have an eye on your kids you will be up and about trying to keep up.

Minimal bugs, playground is super fun and gated, picnic area is large and available for rental on winter park website.

Love taking my 2yo here. Many options for him to play. Lots of shades that help in this hot weather that we have most of the year.

A great place to walk. I was also surprised that they had 7 free standing excercise machines! A small area to walk from one excer ise area to another. Guess where I will be walking from now on....lol

I stumbled upon this park when going to see the new Winter Park Library for the first time. The park is so pretty and serene! It’s perfect for a nice spring scenic stroll!

Took my kids here when they were small. Now I work near it and decided to go to show a video to my kids.

So this field 1000% needs some work but this field has been my whole life since I moved here to Orlando. I play soccer here 3 times and week and met my best friends here. Hopefully they can make the fields better one day

This park has it all from walking paths to basketball football soccer fields fishing pond me and my daughter like to have picnics and enjoy the outdoors here

A slice of Winter Park history, this park is a wonderful reminder of what playgrounds used to be. Playing fields with restroom facilities and natural landscaping surrounding, it's a great place to spend an afternoon.

Very clean, excellent kids playground, and they have a little free library 😍 parking is easy, and a short walk to 2 different tea/coffee shops, if you are into that sort of thing 👌

Great Park. Grandson plays football here and granddaughter Cheerleading here. Only drawback is very difficult to find parking.

Nice little oasis adjacent to the public library.
