Kappy's Subs

My first time coming here and glad I did. The cheeseburger and waffle fries were really good! The customer service was really good too. Definitely will be back to try other menu items. 😋

A very old time diner from the 60's that hasn't changed much since then. Still serving subs, burgers, fries, and milkshakes; and there is always a line of customers getting food to go.

They are not extremely fast because it's such a small kitchen, but they work well together and food comes out in a timely manner. Everything is fresh and brought to you by happy smiling faces. It's definitely worth the wait, the food is excellent.

Parking is ample, but it gets crowded at lunch time. There is plenty of shaded outdoor seating, as well as about a dozen stools inside.

Food fantastic. My son had an Italian sub and I had the Philly cheese steak fully loaded. The lady at the counter was extremely helpful and friendly- she had some great suggestions about what to eat. Will definitely be back! If you're in the area and hungry, this is definitely a place to be!

A family favorite! We love the Kappy’s cheesesteak and Cuban. Their sweet potato fries are the best.

Old school diner that's been here a long time! I've been going to Kappy's for decades! Great service and great food! Just a nice casual family owned business. You can dine inside or outside or take it to go. I try to just pickup my food but always end up sitting at one of the picnic tables and eating my sub before I ever make it to the car!

Love, Love, LOVE Kappy's Subs... I have been frequenting this establishment for 33+ years... I am never disappointed! I have to say the Philly is the absolute BEST mouth-watering sub I have ever had the pleasure of eating! (You can add fried onions, green peppers, and mushrooms, too) with just a dab of hot sauce, yum yum 😋 NOONE can beat it! The only thing is the decor, it's been the same for the duration of 33+ years. And the bathroom was gross! Next time I will hold it! But, overall well worth the hold!!

I got the Earl’s Special and a root beer float! The burger was great and it comes with pastrami on it! Love to old school diner feel of the restaurant! Will definitely come back again!

Have fir many years wanted to stop by Kappy's and today we finally did. Kitchen sink hot dog - yummy and humongous. Waffle fries and really good chocolate shake. Now we know what we have been missing! Definitely will return.
And the atmosphere and well used appearance and situation along a busy and noisy street may be a bit off putting to some, but adds to the nostalgia of the place and some might argue gives Kappy's a charm that adds to the most favourable experience.

Old place Since around 1967, and it shows, as Kappy's has barely changed since. And why change it? Kappy's has that old diner feel and the food is great, as is the service. Kappy's is literally a landmark business. My dad would bring me there and I bring my kids, it's generational greatness. Been going there for about 50 years and counting and I've never had a bad experience. And, yes, they have beer to go with your footlong dog with kraut and brown mustard. Happy times.

went here on my girl’s break and it was not a choice i regret. i’ve been wanting to try this place for the longest, and when we got here we just knew the food would be good. i ordered the chicken bacon ranch and everything tasted so fresh and made with love. you can tell the employees care. 10/10 definitely will be coming back soon!

Every time I am in town, I grab a Kappy's Cheesesteak with extra cheese (a must), no mushrooms. Consistently spectacular. I never get anything else. Been a customer since the mid-'80s.

This place is amazing! Delicious!

Food: Had the Kappy special and it was great. While inexpensive the ingredients were good quality and you can taste the seasoning of the cooktop from all of the years. Very solid.

Service: People here were SUPER friendly and made me feel welcome considering it was slammed with customers.

Atmosphere: Very old school burger joint vibe with stool counter seating inside. Very outdated and the sign was old and I absolutely enjoy that. Definitely has its own personality.

Verdict: Never been here before and lived in the area for a decade and regret not coming sooner. The prices are so cheap but the taste is so good. Its a greasy spoon joint in the best sense of the word. Will be back!

This place is the best. Never disappoints. Always fresh a d exactly what you order. I usually get a cheese steak , but wanted to mix it up and get a chili dog . It was great as well.

Celebrating "National Cheesesteak" Day with my son at a Central Florida institution. Had the Kappy's Cheesesteak with mushrooms and "The Angie" both were amazing. Came at the middle of the lunch rush and out order was taken promptly and ready in minutes. Always great here.

Full disclosure, I'm not a big Philly cheese steak fan, so I ordered a Cuban. Oh. My. Word. This Cuban made me want to put on a fedora and dance! Amazing. The sandwiches are worth the wait as they are fresh and delicious. I also recommend visiting Kappys because it is growing into a iconic landmark in the Maitland area. I hope it's there for years to come!
If you're concerned about parking, there is available parking on Sebylia Ave, across from the gas station. :)

The chicken sub was delicious!! Timing was a little slow but staff and food was great. I will be back.

This place has been around forever and whenever im working that area there is no question whats for lunch! The philly! I recommend mayo on the bread before the meat and peppers are added... But don't hate! Lol the atmosphere is classic and rustic, so appreciate it! Definitely recommend Kappy's!!!

Fun treat for the fam. Been coming here since I was a kid. Now I treat my own kids to it.
Great spot when the weather is a little cooler or to grab lunch.
Philly and onion rings is delicious.
