Filomena's Pizzeria & Ristorante

We decided to try this restaurant for dinner after seeing the many positive reviews from other customers. Very cozy and inviting atmosphere. The service was great! Our servers were Vicki and Raven. We ordered the Scillian Anapasto salad and the medium deluxe pizza. Our food was fresh and delicious. The salad was huge, and we had to share it, as it would have been too much for 1 person. The pizza came out piping hot and loaded with toppings. We plan on coming back again to try their other menu items. They have a nice variety of menu options, even if you are vegetarian. We were very pleased with our dining experience here. I recommend this place if you are ever looking for Italian cuisine. Also found out they have a second location in Downtown Sanford by Lake Monroe

Arrived 45 minutes before closing and sat at bar and ordered a pizza. Small inside and small full liquor bar. One of the few places that made a whiskey sour correctly. Was still fairly busy but had no issues.

Delicious pizza and food. The dough of the pizza and toppings are amazing pie. We had their gourmet white and meat pizza. However I want to come back for their classic cheese pizza since their most popular pizza.

A hidden gem friendly staff and really good vegan options. I purchased a gluten-free vegan pizza with plant based sausage and pepperoni. Vegan meatballs.

This place is amazing! My kids said it was the best pizza ever and their new favorite place! I also absolutely loves their pizza! My husband got the lasagna and he said it was really great too! The waitress was fast and so nice! We will definitely be coming back!
Oh and prices are great! Lunch special $4.50 for a huge slice of pizza and a drink!

My husband and I went to Filomena’s today for lunch. We had the pork wings
and medium deluxe calzone which had ricotta and mozzarella cheese in it. The food was delicious. One of the best calzones I have had (crunchy and perfectly cooked crust and tasty and abundant fillings-see pic). The medium size was huge (we shared it and had leftovers as well since we had the pork wings too). I would definitely recommend Filomena’s and we will be back soon! Great, friendly service too!

We have loved this place for years! The pizza is always phenomenal! The deserts are all too die for! Honestly, we have never gotten anything that wasn't great! Even the salads are so darn fresh! Great place for small celebrations like birthdays and promotions!

First things first, best weekday pizza specials in town for 16' and 18' pies. Beyond that, the portions are always big and satisfying. My Eggplant Rollatini was tender and packed full of a big bed of pasta. The side salad had bigger than bite-size adds, not chincy. But I love that the oil and vinegar decanters were clean and fresh. And yes, that bread was super soft inside. 1 year later, they are still rocking! Check out these new specials in chalkboard photos.

My husband and I were looking for a pizzeria that we never went to before. We chose Filomena's and were happy we did! We loved the atmophere and service was on point. They also offer a full bar, but we did not order drinks from the bar. When you sit down, they bring these warm biscuit-like breads with ample amounts of butter to slather on. We split the antipasto, it was very large and full of everything you would expect, and then shared an amazing pizza with a sturdy bottom crust that held the delicious toppings. Our server was attentive and never let my sweet tea glass go empty. We now want to go back and try some of their dinner entrées. Next time we will go to their new lakefront location on Lake Monroe in Sanford.

Amazing local Italian restaurant. Everything tastes homemade and was delicious. We got the ravioli and the Italian sub. Love how many vegan options they have on the menu too! They have a big menu with something for everyone. Waiter was very friendly, attentive and helpful.

The vegan options are just next level. I so thoroughly enjoyed the vegan carbonara. Also vegan hot wings. I can't wait to go back.

All I can say is WOW!!! This was absolutely amazing!!! We got Calzones, Fettuccine Alfredo & egg plant lasagna.. The bread was delicious & we got Alfredo sauce with it ... The waitress was VERY sweet & knowledgeable. This a must stop!! Everything made in house!

I’ve both ordered food and dined in here. Service is always prompt, and food is excellent. Pizza is one of the best around. Also loved the Greek salad.

Outstanding food. I highly recommend their catering as well. They have catered both Italian and Puerto Rican cuisine. Absolutely delicious!!! Professional, courteous, overall EXCEPTIONAL!!!

Love them and they are our favorite pizza place! They made us the wrong pizza by mistake and sent us a free one 45 minutes later. Both were delicious and now we order the mistake pizza (Bianca with pepperoni) because it was so good. Great food, great prices and customer service is amazing!

Very great atmosphere for a cozy hole in the wall you won't find a better setting for a classy italian meal, excellent service and I must say the food is superb. From the hot bread they serve to their soups and salads, down to the magnificent sauce on the pasta top notch. Now as I even type this the perfect portions sitting just right and leaving me feeling full.

I absolutely love coming to Filomena’s for lunch and dinner! Jose and his staff are so friendly and down to earth. Marissa works the lunch shift and she never disappoints when it come to her service. I literally come this place all the time on my lunch breaks. When ever I need a pick me up I get an iced latte or a shot of espresso, Jose has his own coffee and it’s so strong and delicious 😍🥰 If you are looking for freshly homemade food they’ve got it! Jose makes his food fresh to order. I’ve had the pizza, empanadas & the chicken with veggie lunch special, everything was so delicious. Last week I took my mom and boyfriend out to an early dinner, Larry was our server and he as well was on point with his service skills and recommendations. My mom ordered med hot garlic wings extra crispy and mozzarella sticks, she was in heaven cause her wings were EXTRA CRISPY! As always for me I got the chicken and caramelized veggies. My boyfriend ordered a lobster empanada and a slice of cheese pizza. We always have a good time at Filomena’s and always leave full and happy 😇🙏

First visit, definitely not my last. I cannot remember ever getting a sub where the restaurant made the sub roll, until now.

The food is fresh, homemade and delicious. The bread, noodles and sauces are all homemade bursting with flavor. I am very picky about my Italian food and I cannot wait to try more of their food soon. Especially their pizza.
