El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant & Grill

We have visited multiple times. Last Saturday night it was a festive atmosphere, happy and lively. Several special pricing on regular items, including margaritas, was a pleasant surprise. I had a meal with the spicy pepper icon, trust me, it was hot and very flavorful. Service was very prompt throughout the meal. My daughter gave the churros 5⭐

They have a hidden salsa bar! Ask your waitress, it was great but no one seemed to know it was there.. Mostly americanized mexican food, but it's done well, they have tequila. Small town gem. Yum.

Update: they brought us a tiny little treat at the end. Assuming they hadn't seen this review since the 2 minutes ago when I posted it.. 6 stars.

This our first time trying this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised! We tried the Burrito California and the Quesadilla Suprema, which were on special for St. Patrick's Day.....they were both fresh and delicious. The quesadilla has fresh stir fried veggies like broccoli and mushrooms. The chicken was well cooked and flavorful. It came with a delicious guacamole salad. The burrito was stuffed with chicken and sautéed onions, and was covered in a flavorful quest. The chips and salsa was fresh and additionally there was a salsa bar with a wonderful variety of sauces to try. The staff were hopping and working together to meet customer needs. Overall just a great eating experience! You will not leave hungry and receive amazing value for the your money.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant! I got the fajita chicken nachos and seasoned perfectly. The patio is nice and roomy. The salsa is perfect as well. My wife and kids were really pleased with the rice. I would definitely return here for sure! Best place in Lincolnton or the CSRA!

I was told of this restaurant from a customer in South Carolina, Home Depot. Said it was real!!! Mexican food and since I lived there I must try it. Well I was having a bad day and my hubby thought to take us there because of the mans story. And he was right- the food is great; you could take home what you not ate or drank. Has nice outside seating too. I love Mexico and it's people and culture and since I was a little girl I made my own Mexican food because other Mexican restaurants do not know the food. Appetizers were so yummy and a very nice mango light alcohol drink with the meal was so good I wanted more then share one with my hubby.

1st time eating here, loved the outdoor seating. Watched Football games, enjoyed Margaritas and had Fajitas. Great service, friendly Staff.
Will definitely eat there again

Wonderful discovery a short distance from my hotel. Excellent guacamole, fresh chips and extensive menu. Definitely coming back. Great value too.

My mom and I came here for an early lunch on a Friday, and it was a full house! Great food, even better service! Not only were we checked in on several times, but by multiple folks working there. All were super friendly and smiling! I work in the restaurant industry, this is a precious rarity!

WOW! Hidden Gem in the middle o farm country! Great food, I ordered the Chimichanga, it was fresh and tasty. My wife ordered the star of the meal, carne asada tacos. Great value anf quick friendly service

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to, it's a shame it's not in my hometown. I look forward to a future visit! Specifics: I had the chicken tacos (amazing at decent price) dad and sister also enjoyed their plates, friendly staff, recently renovated fun dining room with several large screen tvs and a large outdoor covered patio area if you wish, recently renovated and clean bathrooms.

This is definitely one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. Delicious food!! We had a party of 7- everyone ordered different meals & every dish was delish!
It's hard to get good service at restaurants- these people were totally on top of everything!! Never had to ask for anything. Hats off to chef and staff! Just all around great restaurant!
