Stroms Drug Store Inc No 2

I love this place. Although we are just visiting the area we have been here twice, once for a drug store item and once for ice cream. This place was like a time machine, I have not seen a sitting area and fresh scooped ice cream in a drug store in YEARS!! The only thing missing was a 35 mm film drop off. The store was busy but it’s the only game in town which is nice and the people there were very friendly. Stop by for a scoop.

There has been over 20 pharmacies in Mccormick since Stroms opened in 1911. Two chains (Eckerd Drug and Rite Aid and Walgreens secured the land across from Hardee’s in 2008 but changed their minds. The antique road show came by and appraised the fountain in 2004.

I have loved this place for many years. The staff is great and very helpful. Prices are good too. Will go out of there way to help you or get you what you need or looking for. Ice cream and milk shakes are a great treat while waiting!
