La Cabana Mexican Restaurant

My sister and I went MAINLY to listen to Derrick McLendon sing and tell his wonderful stories. And we were not disappointed as he put on a great show. Thanks, Derrick, and know that you have fans here in Jena. I wish that you would come to Jena more often and entertain us.

This little gem located in Jena, LA, has excellent Mexican food. I ordered the Nachos La Cabana, and some won't believe this, but these Nachos were some of the very best I have ever had.

And I lived in Houston for 30 years, so I've had some of the best.

These are right at the top.

Everything I saw come out of the kitchen looked amazing.

If you are ever in Jena, LA, make La Cabana a must stop.

Probably our go-to dinner option in Jena! Food is consistently delicious, staff is friendly and professional. Clean environment with great ambiance. We love eating in or grabbing take out in the drive-thru!

Fantastic place to eat, the interior is gorgeous and the staff are all friendly. The food is very authentic! Have to say a favorite of mine are the Flautas under the tacos section, or the Chili Rellano (cheese filled).

A popular item of theirs is the queso blanco, with many taking a large cup of it home with them and I have to say that I am one of them!

The wait staff was very friendly and the food was delicious!! I ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas, and my son had a burger.

Exceptional service food and atmosphere; I love all the uniquely designed furniture and decor! Someone has poured their heart into this restaurant and it shows! The staff is super friendly and the food is awsome for the price. If you are looking for a good sit down and order meal in Jena this is the place !!

Absolutely loved this place when I went. However the waiter, tended to stay on his phone rather than work the tables. But I would I highly recommend for the food. Hard finding good Mexican food these days, with a clean polite staff.

Best Mexican food i have ever had!! The Nachos Bravas was full of flavors, and came with steak, chicken and shrimp. Would definitely recommend to anyone to try.

As Always It's nice having dinner with my friend, he enjoys his usual chicken enchiladas with green chillies and cheese sauce refried beans and rice and my usual is Chilies Relano with cheese sauce and add chopped cilantro with refried beans and rice., And their wonderful sweet tea.

Great food, decent prices. they're not to good at handling large rushes and tend to seat customers who are regulars faster but overall amazing.
