Rocky River Resort

We wanted to float on a budget, so we went to Walmart, spent $1.98 per tube and we took 2 vehicles so we didn't have to pay to be dropped off. We paid $10.00 to leave our vehicles. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'm sure we had just as good a time. The river was beautiful.

If your looking for a great river float definitely go to this place! They are layed back and just cool place. Beautiful river

A great stay for families! They have water fun, tubing, rafting, etc. The staff was kind and helpful and the people are oh so friendly. I understand they are limited on 50-amps but have plenty of 30-amps and water hook-ups. We used a 30 to 50 adapter. No sewer hook-up but they do have a dump to empty tanks. Lots of trees and shade.

The water was just right,peaceful, and just beautiful. It was my river trip there but will definitely be back

A great place for spending time with your family! Bring sunblock and get a early start! I don’t recommend the current inn hotel, it was infested with bedbugs and almost put my brother in the hospital after the was over trip but rocky river resort was amazing!

Great place to camp! They were very nice and the campsites were nice as well. I will make this camp ground a yearly vacation. You should try them out!!

First mini Festival here after the pandemic standstill. The restrooms are clean, there was hand sanitizer around, and everyone was super friendly.

Great place! So nice, open area, and great respect for all that stay there, no issues!! We will be back!

My brother and I both brought our campers, reserved 2 spots and stayed 2 nights at Rocky River Resort. And loved it. It was kind of old school camping. We had water and electric hook up. Dump station obviously on property. They do have full hook ups but we didn't reserve our spots in time lol. Zero cable and zero wifi as amenities, but who cares, right? You are supposed to be camping. Not watching tv or playing games or whatever it is people do on the internet. You do get cell service, so there's your wifi. We was close enough to current river to walk through the campgrounds and chill on the bank. They also do float excursions and have a floater pick up on grounds and that's pretty much where we hung out on the banks. It was a cloudy rainy day so we didn't float. Truthfully I didn't touch my phone all weekend unless I was using bluetooth for my music. Campgrounds are spacious. Lots of trees, a fire ring and plenty of space for us to play cornhole and put up some canopy tents between our 2 campsites. Had a great time. When checking out, the guys in the office were awesome. They said if I had a good time I should do a happy camper check out dance lol. Of course I did it lol. We will be back. Thanks so much for a great experience in camping...not glamping ;)

Had the best time ever

We have made this place a family vacation location and we can't wait to go next weekend. We havnt been there since Aug. 21 and everyone is excited for the adventure and testing out our new 16 person tent.

I didn't know how big this place was. It's great to just drive 30 mins to camp. I always hate the drive home. Friendly folks too! Highly recommend.

Great place and people

These guys were the best! We decided last minute to meet with family for a camping/float trip on July 4th weekend (the week before, anyway). Rocky River was the only one who had room, but it was going to be a site with no fire pit. Ok, fine. When we called to reserve our space, they had an opening for an RV site. Awesome: fire, water, and electric. Then, they called us back and said they had a tent site open up.
The site was huge! We had 3 tents, a canopy, and were not at all crowded. And still had water and electric.
The boats we got were great, too. A huge fiberglass canoe and very nice kayaks. I don't think I've ever floated on such a nice canoe!
I was told that using a kayak is much nicer on the Current River, rather than a canoe. The river is super deep, fast, and wide. A kayak gives you much better maneuverability (to avoid the motor boats, and to get to shore when you want to).
Would totally go back!

We were there Aug.13-16. From the time we got there the staff was one point helping with our every need. Jon went above and beyond!! (You the man Jon) But the Whole Staff at Rocky River Resort is TOP NOTCH!! We WILL see you all again and again. If you're in Doniphan,Mo. And want to Float the Current River. Rocky River Resort is THE SPOT!! Thanks again for the great weekend you all. Bravo!!!!!!✌🤙

Great place for the price indeed. Best price for floating with your own gear as well. Will be ready to come back each year!

Great place to spend a long weekend. Beautiful Current River right next to a great campsite. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean showers and restrooms. Overall a wonderful place for the family.

Great area to camp. Fun friendly people. Nice ride down the river. Had 3 kids on our trip and had a great time. Will do it again
