Old River Landing

The food was amazing. The bread on the cheeseburger was a bit dry. The onion rings were the best, and the cheese sticks were also amazing. The service was good although the food took a very long time to be cooked and served but everyone seemed nice.

Great place to eat, now that they they have taken out the dividing wall and made the entire restaurant smoke free it's really good. Food is almost always perfect to order, hot, and fresh. Steak night on Thursday is one you don't want to miss out on if you're a meat eater.

All I can say is mud fries. They'll know what you are talking about. Everyone talks to you no matter if it's your first time there. You may go there alone but you will leave having made a friend or two

We took a ride on a cold day, which became colder as we rode. When we ride we like to try new places to eat at hoping to find new places we enjoy. Old River Landing is one of those rare finds that we will enjoy when we are riding along the West of the Mississippi river. We ordered onion rings to share and they were gone in minutes. We ordered fried catfish, shrimp, and chicken tenders with fries and hush puppies. All was gone in minutes. The atmosphere has a lot of money from past visitors, a bar, friendly staff, and I could imagine fun times and memories had over the years. Please take the time to visit this gem of Louisiana and experience your own memories. Oh, and there is a boat launch for $5.00. Sounds like a great price to me, except I don't own a boat. Also great views of the river (actually a Oxbow).

How many experiences? I grew up camping out at this landing. I can't say that I've ever eaten at the grill because we always packed our lunch, even after we sold our camp here, but the launch is always neat, clean, and the people that run it courteous and professional. Just good down to earth people and a place that has always felt like home. The water is clean and fishing very good out here. There is a very modest $5 per boat launch fee, but that goes to things like building the neat little dock they've rebuilt since I was last out there. I highly recommend this place.

I Met the owner who understand a deaf lady who said to her than my families in 2017 but miss her after I visited my cared mom at hospital til she'd died on next day then I saw my mother's mom's destoryed house on blank grass near this old river landing. I will visit her again. Hope she remember me, please contact me on facebooks messager. I forget her name, she is nicest worker at old river restaurant. Forgive me? Lady?

Loved the seafood platers with frog legs, softshell crab, fried crawfish, shrimp, oysters, fish, topped off with chicken and sausage gumbo, salad ,fried okra, mushrooms. Sweet tea and bread pudding. Yes you need a to go box. The sauce was great!

Great place to visit. The Mud sandwich and Mud Fries are popular. I got the Hot Sausage Po-boy. It hit the spot.

Great boat launch & the bait store at the launch is a great place to grab lunch. A lot better then I thought it would be coming from a bait store. Was VERY impressed.

Good food, good boat launch area, lots of parking, COLD beer, nice people. Sure glad it's there because there isn't anything else around. Been using it for 35 years for our camp on Old River
