Crabby Oddwaters Restaurant & Bar

We went early (5:30 pm) and were seated at a table by the water. The crab balls were excellent! The shrimp were cooked to perfection. We ordered the Senior dinners of shrimp and scallops which were lightly battered and fried; again perfection! Our waitress was very nice as were all the staff we came in contact with. The atmosphere is homey and not fancy at all, but that makes this restaurant so charming. We will return’

My partner and I ate here while on our vacation to sunset beach and we had a wonderful time! The food was delicous, they gave us hush puppies to start which were probably the best hush puppies I’ve ever had! We had the crab balls which were delicous although we thought they were going to be bigger. And we had the hellacious barge low country boil and it was fantastic, we were blown away with how good the shrimp were! Our server Caroline was absolutley delightful!!

This was our best meal while visiting the Myrtle Beach area. It was about 40 minutes from where we were staying and well worth the drive. The staff was extremely hospitable and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our bartender Nikki went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make our experience top notch. Besides the fact we had great conversation with her she really attended to our needs (saying needs lightly as we’re vacationers). When my husband ordered surf and turf he asked if they had horseradish sauce and the bartender said no, but i can make it for you. She went back and made it for him. All of our food was exquisite. The crab balls were amazing. The scallops were melting in my mouth. And holy Moses is the boil a lot of food!!! Well worth the drive and the money. Next time we come to this area of the country, we will for sure be back and recommending this place to every friend that comes down. Great staff. Great food. Great atmosphere.

Great laid back atmosphere with a view. Our server was amazing and super friendly! We did have a small wait, but good things come to those that wait.
The hushpuppies remind of those from a South Georgia church fish fry...outstanding and airy. We had the Grouper Oscar and the stuffed shrimp with crab meat, both were delicious and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this place.

Our food was perfectly cooked. The staff was friendly and attentive. The portions were great. We were unable to finish everything, and the rest definitely went home with us. We will be coming back.

Took my mom on a surprise day trip to the beach & we checked this place out. Not only was it in an awesome location, the food was great! The crab dip is delicious. The stairs require negotiation after a few Bahama Mamas. Lol

Great casual seafood place! We got a table for our party of 3 right away. Our server, Liz, was great, attentive, and kind. They had a great selection of draught beers, and the crab dip appetizer was delicious. Platter portions were generous. The view over the estuary was lovely in the evening. We'd recommend this place to other people and would come back!

Low country shrimp boil was so good! Everything had great flavor, large portion. Great value for what you paid!

Went to this place last summer when they were transitioning. The staff was wonderful despite having to jump through numerous hoops! They were so friendly and patient! The food was great! We will continue to return for years to come!

Such a gorgeous place to eat and have a view, but also a delicious and fresh menu! We visit every year and each time we try something new. The quality of food is great, the service is wonderful and you won’t leave hungry!

The wildlife you see from the windows is fantastic! Each visit we see alligators, egrets, pelicans, and turtles.

My family and I were in Ocean Isle last week and we decided to try something new! When we read the hours are only from 5pm to 9pm, we knew we had found a gem and you did not disappoint! We were there at 4:50pm and were seated very fast after open and a line was already forming! Our server was great and very attentive, especially to my grandchildren which I truly appreciated. I had the ribeye and it was so tender, very flavorful! The hush puppies were to die for! Everyone at my table thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we will definitely come again!

My husband and I stopped in last night hoping to get a drink. There was a sign outside clearly stating the last seating time was 7:45pm but we were hoping the bar might be open later. No luck, but the bartender gave us each a free drink to enjoy on the picnic tables outside. All the staff we interacted with in our brief time there seemed eager to please. And the outdoor space was the perfect place to enjoy a drink at dusk. We were impressed!

Porter, our bartender, was so fantastic. Great service. The fresh, local shrimp were steamed and seasoned to perfection. So good that we brought two pounds to go! Such a fun place to end our beach week!

Really enjoyed my food here. I've seen the other reviews and most of them are way off base as they're set in their old ways and cannot accept change. Food was great, service was wonderful. I will return the next time I visit Sunset Beach!

Have to say this was a great place to get seafood. Got the crab legs and shrimp boil it was very good. All the food was very fresh and came out really fast would recommend this place

Food was pretty good and service was great. Landon served us and he did an outstanding job taking care of us. All the staff were friendly and atmosphere was laid back. Restaurant was clean. My daughter accidentally left her purse behind and by the time we drove back to go grab it, they were already at the door asking if we were the ones who left it behind. Highly recommend this place!

Everything about this place was perfect! We were seated immediately, and our food came very quickly. Kids got the crab legs boil, we got the breaded shrimp. Both were amazing! And their hush puppies are sooo good!! Highly recommend this place!!

After a couple of days of moving, I decided I needed to head out somewhere to have food made for me. :)
Did a quick search and found Crabby Oddwaters. It was just what was needed. The Sunday night staff was laid back and kept me entertained and laughing. Coming from Chicago, I hadn't had proper seafood in a while, and it hit the spot. The Key Lime Pie is made fresh daily, and Holy Toledo, it was great.
I like casual dining, so this was perfect...staff was not stuffy at all, and will be back as much as I can!

Great meal at crabby odd waters Resturant in sunset beach. Great meal. Great service . They are using social distancing until further notice. I had the combo of grilled shrimp and scallops . One dozen shrimp and six scallops. All fresh seafood.

My wife and I went tonight (8/26/2022) at 5:00pm. We were seated very quick and the waitress was there shortly after. We knew what we wanted so we placed our order and it wasn't long before we had our food. By the way the food was very good. Low country boil for the wife and flounder and grilled shrimp for myself. Waitress was very friendly and everything went great. We will be going back next time we're near hear. Thanks for a great dinner.
