I have been to this school for 4 years and this school is AMAZING! The teachers are cool and I actually learn something on top of the word of God

Very good school

My son is a current student. This school is very traditional. It works for my son. Online doesn't work for all students. I believe you teach and learn concepts BEFORE we go on the computer. Some subjects are hands on. This school offers that. They are also teaching how to be a good person. That's something kids need to learn early.

Administration is deliberately rude to students and believes that she doesn't have to give anyone respect. She will falsely accuse students of things she has no evidence for/nothing to go by. She is two-faced, rude and not Christ-Like at all.

Teachers are wonderful. Administration is unbelievable and will scream in your child’s face and tell you she does that to all her students and if you don’t like it, it’s not the school for you.

I hope that those reading this truly recognizes the weight of what I had to experience as a previous student at New Life Christian Academy. Now a graduating student in college, there are often times that I reflect on my experience at this school and my heart hurts. I understand the appeal of a "morally just" school with lower prices in comparison to other schools in the community, but the emotional trauma is not worth it.

North Carolina law states that private schools are not required to employ accredited and properly certified teachers and New Life Christian Academy exploited this loop hole to its full capacity. I attended new life as a high school student and only few teachers were accredited with the Batchelor's degree that public schools require. I also enrolled in "AP Physics" under the belief that it would accredit towards my high school credits through Nash Community College. This was a lie. After preparing for final exams, the one that was administered was a paper exam that the teacher created himself. After questioning administration, I was apologized to because "they weren't aware that AP meant that it was a college course". This school DOES NOT prepare students properly, especially if they are intending to further their college education.

I was enrolled in the high school level art class as an elective. I was told that I was a "visual distraction and disturbance" to the other students (being the only female in a male dominated class). It was also implemented in my other classes that I had to follow the "boy girl rule" where I was not allowed to sit beside a male student. Looking back at the experiences that 15 year old me had to endure, I now realize that I was a victim of sexism and was being punished for how I looked physically.

After years has passed and have now matured greatly, I feel that this review is the very least that I can do to advocate for myself and what the other high school students had to endure during this time. Please save yourself from the hardship you will have to endure as a parent and the hardship that your child will have to face (not only during enrollment, but the set-back they will experience after graduation).

Don't send your child here. It's run by hypocrits, the building is filled with mold, and they will expel you or isolate you based on rumors that they can't even prove. They go based off of lies and not the truth. I speak from experience. I was suspended because people spread rumors about me that nobody could prove or deny and they suspended me for 3 days. The principle used to say it's "God's school." But then when it's doing "well" she says it's "her school". Where did you put god if it's your school? All in all. This isn't a good school and I wouldn't recommend sending your child there. They are petty, rude, and not Christian like at all.
