Cafe Vesuvio Italian restaurant & Pizzeria

My son eat there often and he had me to come for lunch and man was I pleased. I take people there when they visit, wanting something good and leaning toward the healthy side. Prices weren't bad but when food is good and you get your money worth. You don't mind paying and tipping because of good service and food.

Good food, home town service. Both Mom and I had 1/2 our meal left. We might share a plate next time. And you can hold a conversation with a person with hearing issues.

Their food is delicious! I've had the Linguine Clam Sauce in marinara sauce with a side Caesar salad and it was so good!! My go to when I visit! I've also had the Eggplant Parmigiana and it was yummy! Their garlic bread sticks are also so delicious. Their desserts are good too! If you order dessert, definitely try the classic tiramisu!!

WOW! What a refreshing experience. Waiter Jeremy made the experience a pleasure. He was helpful and funny.....knows the menu...food was great, homemade soup, garlic knots and pizza were all Really Good and we were told it was the best sweet tea around....I agree.

The food was absolutely delicious! I was pleasantly surprised the mushrooms were fresh and not canned, that’s so hard to find these days!

Met 2 friends there for lunch. They had never been there. Fantastic food and service. The wanna go back.

Great place to eat, been coming here for 20 years. Only things I’d change are the salad (it’s a sad boring salad) and the bread. Be nice to see some authentic Italian bread here. Still one of my fave Italian places in Sanford.

The rotisserie chicken is so good! I also love the sauce here... I could make a meal on the sauce alone... The lasagna is a favorite of mine... I recommend it to you!

Been going here since it opened. Great Italian and American food. Rotisserie chicken at it's best. They will create a dish not on the menu if you request. I'll be going as long as the doors are open.

Surprisingly authentic and delicious! The service was friendly, the tomato sauce obviously homemade, and everything was cooked perfectly.

Cafe Vesuvio has been here a long time, many newer Italian restaurants have come later..but, cafe vesuvio still has them all beat!! The best Italian food in town.

fabulous chicken parm.. I ordered without pasta and extra marinara. the marinara is made here and the chicken is rotisserie. all delicious. salads are fresh and crunchy! will be back! chicken noodle soup and house salad makes a healthy and satisfying light lunch. Waitstaff are great especially Anna Lisa.

Excellent Italian food that won’t break the bank. Our go to place for the best pizza ever.

I've been coming to Cafe Vesuvio for years and hope to come to Cafe Vesuvio for years to come. it is by far the best spaghetti I've ever had in my life and I am 34 years old. I have tried many Italian chains such as Carrabbas and many other little hole-in-the-wall places that you would expect to be good but end up disappointed every time. When I go to Cafe Vesuvio I order the same thing 80% of the time and although I've tried many of their dishes my favorite go to dish by far is their spaghetti with meat sauce, add shrimp, with a Caesar side salad. The sauce is amazing. It would be an honor to cook their spaghetti so I could find out the secret to their sauce but I'm sure they have protected this beautiful family recipe. It is family owned and often operated. The shrimp are succulent, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The flavors pop out at you. The acidity of the sauce is tolerable for those sensitive people who often experience heartburn and other digestive issues. The shrimp compliments the sauce perfectly and I just love how well they pair together. The spaghetti noodles themselves are always cooked to perfection as well. Not overcooked, not El Dente, but somewhere in between allowing the sauce to absorb into the noodles and the shrimp having this moist and juicy yet firm texture..... I could rant and rave about this dish all day.... but you really have to try it for yourselves. You can try anything on their menu and it will be delicious but I highly recommend starting with their spaghetti with meatsauce and shrimp if you're a spaghetti enthusiast like me. I hope to be coming to Cafe Vesuvio for years to come and if I had to choose a last meal before I passed away I would choose this as my last meal. Again, it is by far the best Italian restaurant in the world! I would give it 10 Stars if I could!💣🍝 P.S. the pic below is Cafe Vesuvio after taking it home and putting it in a container. It is cold in this picture and I've eaten a few shrimps and a couple bites of it but this is what it looks like cold. It is absolutely the most phenomenal spaghetti in the world! Try it soon but if not, make sure to add it to ur bucket list! P.S.S. I do not work or personally know anyone at this resterant and am not and have never been paid to advertise. Ordered food for pickup and it was my first time eating here. The staff was very friendly and nice. The atmosphere was great. The food was better than I expected it was pretty good. I would definitely recommend for wings and pizza as that's all I've tried so far. It's a good place to go. I will definitely try them again.

The flavor of the food is outstanding. I've had pizza and eggplant parmesan so far and have loved both. Also love their desserts.....could definitely add a chocolate selection though!!

I only get pizza but it’s great NY style!!

The white pizza is unlike anything I have ever had. It taste like cheesy gold.
