Old Street Diner

My son and I decided to go get breakfast this morning. We originally stopped at Dennys but unfortunately they were short staffed and were going to have long wait times for food. So we decided we would go check out Old Street Diner after looking at their menu online.
They were pretty busy when we got there but we were seated quickly. We started off with some fried pickles which were really good. My son ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast and quite enjoyed it. I tried a bite of his and was super impressed. I ordered the chicken & waffles and enjoyed it as well.
The staff was great. Food was reasonably priced and we got a lot for the price. I was very pleased with it all and plan to go again in the future.
If you are near Chouteau and haven't been yet, give it a try!

I like here several times. Breakfast and lunch. If you're super hungry, try the chicken fried steak! This thing's huge. For lunch I would recommend the sausage Burger. It's awesome. This food is a lot closer to home cooked food than the place across Highway 69 that claims it has home cooked food (hint, that place over there uses food from Sam's). Service is always quick and friendly. On most days they have specials for lunch. I love Fridays because it is catfish day! All for $9.99!

French Toast with strawberries and whipped cream was AMAZING!!! Cowboy Skillet was very good too! Our server was very nice, overall very nice and quiet place! Would definitely go here again!

My new favorite diner! Hash browns are my passion, and the hash browns here are just about perfect! The breakfast burrito is also fantastic, and the service is fast and friendly. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Their food was great, and the service was good. Their steak was cooked real good, and their chicken fried steak was delicious.

Got there at 1:30pm for late breakfast and only couple people there hr before they closed had eggs ,bacon, hash, biscuit & gravy. Everything just perfect and late as it was biscuit was still just fluffy like it was just baked . It been awhile since I been there pribly 8 months or more been meaning to just never get up since im a night person .but me and mom stopped om way to casino it was raining earlier anyhow so we were kinda waiting for rain to let up anyhow ,but everything worked out OK! I be as long getting back was very pleased ! 5*

Great waitress, great owner works with his employees just at the end of the day he’s always in a hurry to go home lol. Great atmosphere. I feel like family or an employee when I dine in. He just needs to put me on the payroll!!! Stop in for great breakfast. There French toast is the bomb!!

The food was great! I always love a place where I can order breakfast food all day long! I will definitely visit again next time I'm that way!

Delicious food and great prices but 2 waitresses isn't enough to serve all the people. It has a diner look and feel with locals eating there so you know the food is good.

Extremely busy on weekends but worth the Homestyle wait. Try their fried pork chops

The resaurant was a little quant place to eat. The waitresses was so polite and the food was really good first time stopping in there to eat. Very clean establishment. Need to go check it out for your selves.

Stopped here for breakfast with the family. Food was great. Came out fast.

My wife and I decided to try out the new diner in Chouteau. Service was excellent and food was outstanding. I had sirloin pieces with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.
The sirloin was excellent.
My wife had a patty melt with onion rings.
She couldn't finish the patty melt because it was big. It tasted great.
It was a good first experience and I look forward to eating there again.
The only critique I would have is to buy a roll around for the servers when they clear tables.
They don't need to go back and forth 3-4 times.
If you want some good food, check them out.

Awesome home cooked food! I ordered the fish and onion rings and oh my!! Very delicious!! I definitely recommend this place if you like home cooking!!

4 adults 3 children, the waitress was absolutely great, breakfast of every kind was great as well. We will be back. We had dinner here a coup lo e weeks ago and it was really good as well. We got the special, bacon wrapped filet. Very good.

Great food, great service reasonable prices. Chicken Fried Steak and Cheeseburger were outstanding. Restaurant was clean as a whistle.

Suggested this place by a friend and we love it! It's one of the best places around here, especially for steak! Servers are always friendly and it has a great atmosphere. My family all has different tastes, but we can all find something we want to eat here.
