I love the dental professionals at Dr. Grothe's office! I have been a patient there since I was in grade school. Going to the dentist isn't usually something you look forward to, but the experience, care, and comfort they have always treated my family with makes it easier to sit in the chair!

He is good helpful and nice. I've went to him for years. But now I can't go to him and this hurts I really really like him and his staff but now to see him you have to pay $700 not counting the costs not included in the $700. I will miss him and his staff a lot. He is nice and friendly.. Thanks Grothie

If you don’t have insurance, be ware that the price is different when you ask and the time you went. And once they check your teeth you have to pay. Otherwise they said they will send collection. Be careful with that. If you don’t have insurance.

The type of service I was scheduled for and the service I received are two different things. While I was not in my right mind from anxiety meds (prescribed by from the dentist) for the appointment, they asked if I wanted a different more expensive cleaning without explaining the price. The next day when I called, they said I can "continue to go there or find a different dentist better at explaining price and procedures". No accountability, no apology. I used to like going here and have for years but now feel taken advantage of.

At my first visit I was kinda sketched out but they also were very kind. We had discussed prices and I was given a quote, not on paper. (ALWAYS GET YOUR QUOTES IN WRITING) I schedule my next appointment and am sent on my way. Next appointment comes around, I am the one who calls to confirm my appointment, odd? Shouldn't they be calling to confirm? Well, in this phone call I had asked if they have received my previous dental records from my regular dentist, they replied with " I believe I recall seeing something along the lines of it". Uhmm okay?? I would really appreciate you look over my records accordingly so you can take the appropriate steps to give the very best treatment. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt and showed up. The dental assistant had asked what the plans were for that appointment. Shouldn't you already know that?!? Should you be set up for this specific appointment?! She then comes back and proceeded to tell me a different price than what was discussed in the first appointment. I had expressed to them that I need to talk to my partner and my father due to fund issues. And the fact that I was told a completely different price than from the beginning. My father (who is in a different state) had asked to speak with them on the phone so I gave them my phone, my father is a very direct person and was asking questions as to why the price was different than before, the assistant took offense to what ever he had asked at the moment and began to get snarky, which lead to my dad getting snarky. I simply took my phone back and apologized for his behavior and tried to talk to him to calm him down. seconds later Dr. Gorthe comes storming out saying nobody speaks to his employees like that and I explained I was speaking to my father about the situation and letting him know he needs to breath. Fr Gorthe proceeded to be a HUGE Richard towards me and my partner in front of my child even though I had done nothing but try to defuse the situation. So I told him we were leaving very calmly and he decided to get very loud and tell us to get out. I reminded him that he needed to give out appropriate quotes to people and teach there employees to appropriately handle assertive people's questions. Never have I been treated so poorly at a "professional " business. Definitely will not be back and I will 100% tell everyone looking for a good dentis to avoid this place at all costs.
