LETRA Campground and Picnic Area

Awesome fam-camp located within Fort Sill. Gorgeous Wichita Mountains surrounded the area, wildlife refuge 15 minutes away and plenty of lakes and hiking trails to explore.

LETRA itself offers RV spots, nearly limitless tent sites (if there's grass, pop a tent, $12 a night), paintball, water equipment rentals, mini-golf, and archery.

Well kept and clean location, shower house, restrooms, pavilions, and picnic tables throughout the area.

Great place to go and spend a weekend with the family. Site also offers a commissary for all those items you forgot to pack.

My wife, German Shepard, and I have lived here full time for 6 weeks now. This area is spectacular and I explore the area everyday and it seems to be endless with pleasant surprises. I found 2 separate gorgeous lakes just East of Letra in the back country on Fort Sill base. I can’t recommend this place enough! The camp site host, Randy, is probably the best choice they could have made. He has National Park experience, so he treats his responsibilities as if you are visiting the Grand Canyon. 1st class service.

I am relocating to Fort Sill due to a PCS. I came here in advanced to drop some things off and get familiar with the area. After driving 24 hours the last thing I wanted was to go to a hotel with alot of people around. This campground is amazing. Awesome views, comfortable, and quiet.

We are spending 3 nights camping at LETRA a division of Ft. Sill devoted to recreation. Took basic officer training in 1969 the 100th anniversary fo the fort, thought I would come back for the 15th. Hope to see a couple museums tomorrow , in the mean time enjoying meeting a few other alumni and campers.

Great cabin for a few days, cozy and clean, but the views and picnic areas is what makes this place perfect and the rocking chairs on the porches....tons of activities available

Beautiful campground. Right next to Wichita Wildlife Refuge. All sites are pull thru. The wind is horrendous during a storm, which can get scary!

The campground is always quiet and the kids have a blast at the beach area and water slides when they’re open.

Management here is amazing. Jamie is so sweet and will help you with whatever you need. We love it and so does our dog. We recommend that you take spots toward the front. Can get loud in the back.

Great on-base place for our family reunion. Plenty to see and do there.
