Double D RV Park

We didn’t stay but pulled over to take care of a mechanical issue. We parked out front for about 20 mins before getting back on the highway. It was too early for us to stop for the day for our traveling schedule but we will keep this park in mind when we travel back through.
The park is close the highway but you barely hear any road noise. It has water, 30/50 amp service with one dump station location near the front.
The restaurant is closed.
Some trees are low and need to be trimmed for larger rigs but the grounds are clean.
Nearby neighbor stopped to see if we needed help, which I found very thoughtful!

Very nice RV campground and very convenient for a stay. I would have stayed for one more day if I were not tight on my trip. It’s close to freeway, but it’s quite enough for a good sleep. :-)

Perfect place for us to stay. We saw this and passed it up. We got off on the next exit and called the number we found on Google. The owner had just left and said there was plenty of room. There were 4 out of 16 sites taken. He told us to take our pick. All had 30A service, water, and sewer. Some had 50A and 30A services. We woke the next morning to park empty except for us. Very quite inside our RV. You can hear I-40 when outside, but it is not bad at all. Will stay there again if we pass that way!

Your pay on the honor system. We put our $28 in an envelope and placed it in the lock box.

We just left Double D RV Park. We stopped here overnight. This is a hidden gem! There were only 3 other RVs. Very spacious and clean. We have a 38’ travel trailer and a Dodge Ram 2500, and they both fit with no problem. I wish every RV park was like this one! It’s Christmas, so the restaurant was closed. My Blue Heeler was able to play fetch and get her energy out, and our toddler loved running around. We loved all of the space. It’s $28/night for 30 amp and $32/night for 50 amp. Yellow boxes are 50 amp. Well worth it! Check them out if you’re in the area!

Perfect place to crash for the night. We dropped our payment envelope for the night and crashed. Had the place to ourselves so it was nice and quiet. It looks like the place is for sale but the park is still open.

What a nice little park right at the TX/OK border, about 16 pull through sites with trees for shade. Some sites are 30 amp, some are 50 amp, all have water and sewer hook-ups. Honor system for paying, cash or check only. Pick your own site. Will stay here again as we travel I-40 a few times a year.

This is a perfect spot to spend the night at the Texas/Oklahoma border on I40. Nice little park with no amenities. 30/50 amp, water, and sewer available. Nice level lots. We were the only ones here! Highly recommend!

This park is well maintained with level gravel pull through full hook up sites. Some 50amp but all are 30amp no longer have laundry facilities but bathrooms and showers are clean and maintained Glad that we stopped here

God bless the little RV parks like this. Simple, straightforward, easy on and off the highway. A site for sore eyes for a weary traveler tonight. Thank you!

We stop here 6/30/2020 we self pay for one night, full hook ups we use passport America, they was only one other rv there, it was nice and quiet. We would stay here again.

What a super find. $32.00 for 50 amp and $28. for 30. And don’t forget.. Full Hookup and you put your money in an envelope and drop it in a box. Totally self serve❣ We pulled in and we were the only ones there for a while, but by nites end there were 7 of us. Although we did not use, we saw there were showers and bathroom🤷‍♀ For us it was perfect easy on easy off I40. Thank You Double D!

$28 in envelop for 30amp hook up for one night stay. Only two rvs in 7/4 and it is quiet. It comes with laundry (not tested) well maintained restroom and hot water bath. Will visit again.

This place is perfect for a quick overnight stop. Pull through sites make it easy. $28/night for hookups. It is cash only.
Bathrooms were pretty decent - your typical campground style bathrooms. I didn't check out the laundry, so I can't give any info on that.
Road noise was pretty minimal considering how close it is to the highway.
Overall, this place is great for those traveling through that need a place to stop that isn't a truck stop or Walmart parking lot.

Great place to get off on I 40. Full hookups for a great price. Owners are grateful to have us and were very accommodating. Thanks for a good RV experience.

This location is well kept and cared for. We passed on staying due to being the only ones there, a little chicken I am, to many horror shows I guess. Lol. We had checked that the water worked even though temperatures were at freezing. They had all the faucets covered with buckets and wrapped in heat tape so all worked. Will keep this one on our list for sure.

If you need pools or playgrounds, stay away. If you can entertain yourself and just want a quiet, relaxing campground, this is the place for you. Clean showers/restrooms and laundry. $14 a night for three nights paid for my Passport America membership. Not a member? 30 amp $24 a night. 50 amp $28 a night. They had the first grass we've seen in weeks.

We are so happy to be here! Right off I40, full hookup clean, grass and trees, picnic table and only one other RV when we arrived. Dog friendly. Very happy to pay the $32.00 for a night of rest, pull through sites, self service, checks OK. There was a discount with Passport America, which we don't have yet. We will sign up for it now!

What a great find! Getting dark, so pulled off the road after reading good reviews about this little place. Nothing fancy, yet so nice! All full hookups, and all pull thru level sites! We picked our spot, paid by dropping envelope with $$ in the slot and had a great restful night. A perfect one night stop. Would definitely stay here again, if ever in the area.

Convenient on/off I-40, small, quiet, pull through sites w full hookups, nice trees, picnic table at each site, well maintained, very little road noise. Check in is at Windmill Restaurant in front of the park (sign on roof only says Restaurant). There's a closed gas station next door. When the restaurant is closed, there are no cars, so it can look deserted, but it's not. 30 and 50 amp service sites are color coded, and lids on sewer connections are painted red to make them easier to see. We stayed several days and were quite satisfied. Would stay here again.
