Moon Landing RV Park & Marina

WOW what a beautiful RV site ‼ This is a boat marina with what seems a few transient sites so we feel so fortunate that we got this spot for a night. The rest of the RVs look permanent and very well maintained.
The ladies in the office were friendly and very hospital.
If you can land the site we were on you'll have a big, grassy yard that is built-up overlooking the water. There's a couple of boat ramps to access the Saluda River. There's a huge covered picnic pavilion overlooking the water. Their cute little general store has practically everything convenience you might need. Wish I took a picture in there to share. Dog friendly. Big RV friendly (at least the site we were on is). Wish we could have stayed for longer.

What a great time.. the spot we had was right on the side of the lake, and the view was great. The staff was so helpful and friendly.

Good place for bait and tackle, pumps are right on the lake when you need gas. They have snacks, drinks, ice and just about anything you need for camping. Also nice and helpful people.

I stayed here for 3 months on a travel nurse contract. Not only was the owner and his family accommodating, they quickly became like a second family. Lake Greenwood was a beautiful lake. It was quiet, beautiful and peaceful. All the neighbors were friendly and inviting. I can't wait to go back and visit some more. I can't recommend this spot enough. !!

This is a hidden gem. We were in site 3 with a great view of Lake Greenwood. The park is very clean and you can tell that they care. The customer service from Regina and Josh were excellent. The park does have many stationary full time units. The units are in good shape and many are covered with a aluminum shelters. The community is friendly. The park was empty on Thursday when we arrived, but on the weekend it livened up and the people were so friendly. If you want a peaceful stay at a nice park with a great rate this is the place for you! Lot 3 was very large and level. Did I mention the view, sunrise was the best! The propane was cheap too. Josh is one of the owners and he took great care of us!

We camped here and I helped Joyce and mike setting up camp for the season. They are wonderful people and care very much about the community and their environment. They are very active in their community and encourage others to do so! They don’t put up with rowdy, loud people. They have done a lot for the park. We were here doing cold weather but the bathroom and laundry facilities were well maintained! I can’t wait to go back and enjoy warm weather and fishing

I stayed at Moon Landing for 3 or so months, Joshua is a really understandable and most down to earth person, He did is absolute best to resolve any issues. If I’m working in the area this is be the place I’ll stay at for sure.

Nicest people you'll ever meet. Quite and friendly campers and trust worthy. You can leave rods out or coolers and nobody will bother your property. We've had a permanent spot there going on 4 years now.

Great place. The owners are very nice and helpful. Reasonable rates , store & gas on site.
Beautiful view, friendly staff, planned activities when allowed. Church on Sunday morning @ 8:30am.

I called asking what the monthly rates are and the dude on the phone lost his mind and asked "who the F I was asking me that." Like somehow asking for the monthly rates on an RV park is offensive? I was so beyond confused, he must have been drunk. Off that interaction alone, I would never stay here.

Edit: Changing this to a 5 star because I realize this is New Moon in S.C. and I was referring to the one in KY. My apology to the owners.

My wife is a travel Nurse and had a 13 week contract at Lauren's Co Hospital. I was not excited about this contract, we live over 4 hours away. And cold weather was just around the corner. Joyce and all of the Moon Landing staff were AWESOME and Super nice. They even came to her camper, picked up her 100# propane tank, filled it up, returned it and hooked it back up so she would not have to. We have stayed in a lot of RV parks over the years but none of them provide the level of service as Joyce and her staff. Hope to go back and spend a week fishing soon. My husband and I started out camping at MOONLANDING because of his job. Once our boys were out of the house we decided to move to the area for two reasons, the beautiful peaceful area and because of the MOONLANDING owner and manager. They helped us get settled and either offered or supplied us with the things we needed to get started. Mike the owner is very easy to talk to and a good judge of character. Soon I was working part-time for them and that turned into a managing job very quickly. Mike and Joyce trusted me with the running of the snack bar at Lighthouse RV Park and Marina. So to see a review hollering racism is very disturbing, seeing that this RV Park owner doesn’t see color when he is dealing with people. He left one of his businesses in the hands of someone he trusted, a black woman. My husband raves about Mike and Joyce calling them Family. The campers at both parks are friendly and quick to invite you into their lives. It’s a family environment that we strive to protect no matter the color. So check them out🤗🤗🤗
