Great ambience. Food was excellent, but taco orders could have at least one more! We made a reservation, and I recommend if you are over the hill, to request chairs instead of stools LOL. They were kind enough to switch us to a booth with chairs and they even provided us with a birthday candle, which we forgot. We had a great time!

Foodies galore...rejoice in this fantastic and rustic environment and amazing dining experience. Nestled in downtown Brownsville, Texas where you can see, feel and experience the resurgence of this area, Terras Urban Mexican Kitchen delivered on all points food, service and atmosphere. From the eclectic bar setting to the down home rustic seating, I came across Terras Urban Mexican Kitchen while in town on business. From my bartender Alexa serving me up an awesome Johnny Walker Black-rocks as my pre dinner drink to Aylin delivering dining heavy hitters such as the curry potatoes and costillas de elote(yep, as described, corn ribs)----basically a delicious corn on the cob sliced up to literally look like ribs flavored with amazing Chipotle aolie and lime, and for the main event... the amazing 12oz Prime Ribeye( I had mine cooked medium rare) accompanied by an amazingly roasted beef bone marrow all sitting on a sweet mole sauce...simply devine and decadent. Additionally, I sampled the ribeye chacharrones and this dish hit on all points! Despite this meal...I had room for dessert and my choice was the pan de elote. Yes, corn bread with a wonderful cinnamon touch and wonderfully smooth vanilla ice cream. This place gave me a warm, cozy family atmosphere(I hear their brunch is one of their specialties on Sundays) vibe with incredible attentive servers, bar staff and front of house crew. They do have seating for parties and such(give them a call to reserve a bigger table), and there is plenty of room not just in the dining rooms but also at the bar. I've eaten here twice. The service can be hit or miss (the first time I ate here, they forgot to bring out my food entirely, but I ate with a larger party and picked at their food, so it's all good), but the food is some of the best you'll find in Brownsville. Good drink selection, and a nice atmosphere to eat it.

The shrimp molcajete was a particularly fine dish. It came out piping hot, and the shrimp tasted extremely fresh.

10/10 pleace in my book. I highly recommend it. While their menu isn’t expansive or has lots of items. What they do make they do it well.

Our server Felix was amazing. We loved the atmosphere. Good sized portions. If you’re looking for a place with an upscale vibe, but chill and excellent cocktails, this place is it.

Totally delicious culinary creations in the most quaint little place in Brownsville! A different take on local border food infused with the most flavorful of ingredients and spices! Beautiful, cozy atmosphere perfect for brunch with friends or a romantic dinner! Terras is a one of a kind culinary experience!!!

The place everyone is talking about, it's living up to its reputation, haven't been to a lot of places downtown but even from the outside it looks rustic-elegant. Either for just drinks or food it can be a great place, I'm going back for more Panchos, unique in its own way, but delicious! My favorite drink was the Sharp Dressed Man, no photo but believe me it looks elegant just as it sounds.

My husband and I had the delicious Rack of Lamb, delicious Pan de Elote, and some great mixed drinks for our date night. We will definitely be returning for a nice dinner sometime! 😊

This place was amazing, everyone from kids to parents loved the food. It's the kind of place you would want to meet a business partner, go on a date, or get a great drink. The street side parking was a challenge, but if you are willing to walk a little bit there's a parking lot.

Yooo yoooooo yoooo just come taste for yourself in my personal experience. The chef loves his Job very much 💙 food was mad with love I could taste so Many different flavors we need to put more places with this home cooked meal feel on the Map.!!

Drinks were awesome, I haven't had anything close to them since moving to Brownsville. The food was great, well thought-out and wonderfully executed. Service was excellent, we were well taken care of but never felt pressured or in a rush. We were there during happy hour(s) and the prices were very friendly, considering what an equivalent meal in McAllen would cost. This was our first time there and I can't wait to go back.

Apparently the restaurant has been around for 5yrs at their current location plus an additional 3yr on Elizabeth and I had never been there but after tonight’s dinner we’ll definitely be back! I ordered the American Wagyu Sirloin and let me tell you it was PERFECTLY cooked like I had specifically asked for; so tender and moist that I’d dare say it was better than some sirloins I’ve had at Ruth’s Chris! Got there shortly after opening for an early dinner so it wasn’t too busy that we had to wait. The playlist was enjoyable & soft enough to have a conversation and the drinks were very good! Celeste made our evening with her amazing customer service & recommendations for after dinner drinks in the down town area. Can’t wait to take our out of town friends there!

This place was amazing as always. The atmosphere is cozy able to enjoy great conversations over even better food…. And don’t get me started in the drinks. I ordered the strawberry field cocktail, presentation was spot on and the taste was good as well. Even better was the fact that the water didn’t have that “pennies” taste. (If you know you know). The food was at the same level. We ordered the Lamb Flautas that was so good. It was toasted but not overdone, the sauce was so creamy, the pickled jalapeños came in with a zing and topped with sliced cherry tomatoes and garnishes were 🧑🏻‍🍳😘 chef’s kiss! My moms Panchos were just as yummy I had to steal a bite. Perfect balance of meat, cheese, and green salsa without having the chips soggy. Only thing bad thing was I was so full I didn’t get to try their desserts. The servers were all very attentive. They were working hard going around for refills at all tables, they gave my my. Heck discreetly when I asked for it and still let us stay and make conversation with the next table. One of my favorite places for sure. No ticket shock for me as I feel it was all worth it!

A restaurant like nothing the valley has. The vibe of this place was amazing. It is small but the food and drinks are full of flavor. Prices are spot on. Not cheap but not over priced. Definitely going to revisit and recommend to all. Staff was attentive and had great recommendations

Absolutely fantastic meal. Great service, awesome menu, cool/hip atmosphere. This is a place we'll come back to over and over again.

I'm amazed this place is not at least a 4.7 as everything was so good. We had the Chilean Sea Bass, lamb flautas, carrots and cocktails. That carrot dish is super tasty and almost a meal on its own, definitely shareable. The sauces on all of our dishes were very tasty.
