Loved my stay here for a recent wedding. We decided to stay here instead of a hotel. Easy check-in process, comfortable, well appointed. Great location, walking distance to town.

We stopped here for drinks with friends. South African based wines. The cab we selected was excellent. They also have rooms or small houses to stay in. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. We recommend you stop by and have a drink. Interesting place with history. They've been open for about a year.

Beautiful and convenient
We enjoyed our stay so much. The cleanliness, convenience of location, and extra charm of the fireplace and hot tub made this a perfect anniversary getaway.

If you are looking for a great place to unwind, reconnect with your special someone, or simply duck away for a nice and peaceful weekend...This is the place! My husband and I work all of the time and truly needed a place to go to get away from it all. We chose to stay in the Octavia, and was beautiful, romantic, hidden, and charming. We will certainly be back! Thanks for having us!!

We stayed in "The MAX" for two week-nights in late April. There were only 2 other guests at the property. The cottage was beautiful inside & out. The Max is the cottage on the left at the very back. It has a large balcony with a very private hot tub nestled in the corner. The property off the balcony has a giant cypress tree & a large oak tree with accent lighting in the branches. A negative is there is a "spot-light" on the cypress tree that points right in on the balcony.... It shined right in on us at night. While sitting on the balcony during the day, we saw butterflies & even a glimpse of a deer peeking thru the tree line once. Baron's Creek is behind the trees, but we couldn't see or hear it. There is a water feature that runs thru the property & ends by the balconies between our cottage & the other cottage (the Carl) at the back...You could hear the waterfall there. It was very relaxing.

Inside the cottage there is a gorgeous gas fireplace, the instructions on it were confusing tho as the switch on the wall didn't work, but you could turn it on by the toggle switch inside the fireplace, (but the instructions say not to do that). We told maintenance man about it, but nothing was done about it. There was a decent sized tv on the fireplace that worked great (it could have been a larger tv since it was so far from the bed). There is a ceiling fan (with a slider switch on the wall for fan speed). There are two leather chairs & a small table at the foot of the beautiful king bed. There is plenty of drawer space in the night stands & chest of drawers.

The entrance is in the the kitchenette area. A hammered copper sink, a Keurig coffee maker, a microwave & small fridge are available. They offer ground coffee & a generic coffee pod for the coffee maker. There were four cream cheese Danish's on a glass dish on the counter (I couldn't eat them as I am gluten free, so that was wasted). There is sugar, salt & pepper, two containers of cereal & microwave popcorn in the cabinet. The fridge has coffee creamer, four small containers of milk, four bottles of water & four cans of orange juice inside, but plenty of room for your personal items. There are a few glasses, two coffee mugs, some plates in the cabinets & a few utensils are in the drawer. Dish soap, sponges, etc. are under the sink. There is a roll of paper towels & some nice hand soap at the sink.

The bathroom has two sinks (a hair dryer can be found in the drawer). There is a private water closet & a large single head shower. Also, a nice sized closet is in the bathroom. Inside it, there is an ironing board, iron, two nice bathrobes, two spa towels, extra bath towels & a few hangers. We only had one roll of toilet paper however... But there was some tissue in the water closet. The same hand soap (in the kitchenette) was available at the bathroom sink, but only one tiny bar of bath soap for the shower. They offered a small bottle each of shampoo & conditioner (no lotion). We had plenty of towels (6), but only two hand towels & two wash cloths.

The king bed & it's bedding was comfy. There were six pillows (two king & four standard).

The AC worked great & the ceiling fan was a nice touch (once we figured out about the slider speed control on the wall switch!)

Overall, the cottage was great. It was spotless & well maintained. We enjoyed our stay. We really didn't even want to leave the cottage to explore the surroundings, although you could just walk out the front & you are one block from the shops on main street. Perfect location.

Vacasa now manages over 90 properties in Fredericksburg. They were very helpful and helped me find a great house to accommodate my family of 10. The house had its own pool, hot tub, big yard and lots of games and toys to keep kids happy. The adults had a great time wine tasting, shopping, going to museum, and just hanging out at house. We had loads of fun playing corn hole and horse shoes and sitting around campfire. House was super clean too, which is often not the case with vacation homes!
Thanks for helping us find such a great place!!

This was our second stay and the place is great. It's tucked back and quiet but close enough to the main drag that everything is within walking distance.

My only complaint is that the shower is insanely slippery.

I had a great experience getting assistance over the phone with both Tiffany and Jasmine when I needed a rental for a large group for Memorial Day weekend.

The thing that was most memorable to me was their patience and customer service. They answered all my questions. It was in extreme contrast to the expected, automated disregard for most customers in all facets of our society. I was also given several properties to choose from that fit my needs and budget.

Unfortunately, my group plans fell through, and I wasn't able to rent a property. But I would not hesitate to contact them in the future. Thank you.

Had a great visit. My only nitpick was that the hot water was more lukewarm. Otherwise my wife and I had an amazing stay. The hot tub was small, but perfect for 2. Great place to stay in walking distance to almost everything.

This place couldn’t be more perfect. Vacasa did a wonderful job with cleaning and was super responsive when we had trouble with Wi-Fi. The Ella cabin and property is wonderful. Location perfect for Main Street shopping. We will be back!

I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Fredericksburg; private cottages and hot tubs with pleasing esthetics. Highly private, including the parking, despite being right on Main St.
