River Ridge Campground

Wow! Howard and Allen Rakes have our campground confused with the River Ridge Campground in Kentucky. The other bad reviews aren’t telling the whole story. My wife Kim said just don’t respond to anything but I believe in standing up for myself, my family, and my business. This is a wonderful place to stay if you respect other campers and follow the campground policies. If you choose not to then yes, this is not the place for you. If you are coming in after office hours and you FORGET what site you are on, call or ring the doorbell and we will help you with this IMPORTANT INFORMATION. We understand we can’t please everyone. Great river front campground.
Owners are very helpful. Just ask, any they will deliver. The river in front is deep enough to swim a mile up stream without much current.
If you are a swimmer, this section of the river is the best!!
Shade, easy access to highway perfect road and camping flat pad. New elec 50/30 septic no smell.
We have traveled around the US. Have never found an RV park the breaks the 5 star rating. If your visiting the area, don't miss this one!!

Town has everything you need without crowd.
The river in front is deep and without much current.
Ideal for the kids to swim. The playground is close enough to keep an eye on the kids without leaving your campsite.

We are newbies at pulling a travel trailer (2nd time taking it out and did a big trip from OH to Myrtle Beach). The owner, Joe, saw me struggling to back into the site and offered to back it in for us. He was a pro and so kind to do so. He also drove firewood over to us in a golf cart. The sites are full hookup at a great price and beautiful view. Woke up and drank our coffee and watched the geese swim down the river. Everyone there was so friendly.

My family and I love River Ridge campground! We have stayed there two years in a row in September, right on the river! Our dogs love it as well & the owner is always so friendly and helpful!

Best campground ever! Owners are super nice and the grounds are very well kept. The swimming is amazing and the sites are great. My kids had an amazing time the 6 nights that we were there making friends with all of the campers coming and going. The pavilion is beautiful and the swings are great. My kids loved the swing/play set. Super safe place for riding bikes. My son also caught his first fish. It rained the last day so we went bowling. Tons of site seeing to do around the campground. We will most definitely be back next year!. Thank you for an amazing campground visit!

Lovely little campground with great hosts! Joe was amazing and went above and beyond. Initially we were only booked for 2 nights but due to truck trouble we ended up staying a week and boy am I thankful to have got to stay longer! Charming, peaceful, quaint. The kids enjoyed the river and playground. Sites are plenty roomy with gravel. No bathhouse and only one set of washer and dryers with not laundry facilities close by. Not much of anything close by but that’s the charm of this place. It’s a true gem. I’m so thankful to have stumbled across this campground. It’s not your typical hustle and bustle campground. It’s safe and quiet. Going on the list of must returns. Site 13 at the end was very spacious, all sites have great shade. No great view of the river due to rig positioning but all the other sites seemed to have a nice view of the river.

Beautiful, quiet campground right in the middle of the West Virginia mountains! Joe was a wonderful host that had to deal with a bad driver that took out part of his fence. 🙄😐😳 If you're in the area of Alderson, Lewisburg, or even visiting the New River Gorge, you should definitely stay here!!

So peaceful. Owner responds quickly to any questions or request. Full hook up, site was level. Grounds were neat, well lit even had decorative lights on a couple of trees that reflect on the water. Would stay again👍

Awesome campground right on the Greenbrier River. Nice flat water access from your site kayaking, swimming , fishing or just sit and enjoy. Owners are super nice.

A absolutely wonderful place to camp. Owners are extremely nice. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is peaceful and stress free. Calm waters.

Nice quiet campground right on the Greenbrier River. Very laid back place with only 13 camp sites. We spent a week here and really loved it!
