The Hotel Texan

I Grew up in this town since 1995. So many stories about this place. We were so scared as kids cuz it was always talked about being Haunted. As an Adult I can say it’s such a beautiful old hotel, very well maintained, Beds so comfortable and clean! Definitely worth a visit, usually you get a pizza coupon to the Main Street pizza next door! Just give it a chance!! Great experience that the modern world doesn’t offer us! 😃

Im the owner of Evergreen Weed and Pest Control L.L.C Owner of Hotel Texan is a super cool dude, has the old past hotel style and feel down and treats you super friendly. I enjoyed the old school large key, the older rooms and the layout and style of the hotel. He also hooked me up with pizza and hired us out for weed control. I appreciate how friendly he was with my staff and then me the next day.

The Hotel Texas is truly a hidden gem. Gareth gave the warm welcome to my husband and I. It was 5 star across the board. I wish we could have stayed longer. It's a straight shot,15 minutes from Seminole, Tx so the commute was painless. The hotel is spotless, and the room we stayed in was clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were extra soft. 😌. We enjoyed ourselves thank you

Our family stayed this past weekend for my mother in laws 78th birthday party. The rooms were amazing, the outdoor door patio was beautiful and accommodating. Our host did an outstanding job accommodating our family. A must stay!!! Sadly we didn't have a chance to try the ice cream parlor or pizza next door hopefully next time we visit.

We stayed at The Texan recently! Loved it! Great 100 year old historical decor. Rooms are remodeled. Great beds, bathrooms, comfort. Cozy and affordable! Breakfast room is great with 24 hr coffee and tea and homemade banana bread! Outdoor space is perfect for gathering under the stars!

I was back in my hometown on Seagraves TX for my 30th high school reunion and for the town's birthday celebration this past weekend. I was lucky enough to get two of the last remaining rooms for my sister and me. The owner of the hotel was very accommodating and friendly. He made sure everything was set up early for our reunion get together out on the beautiful patio. All of my classmates commented on what a cool place it was to hang out together. We had a fantastic 30th all because of the owner and staff of the Hotel Texan!!

Ditch the chain hotels and interstate to make your way to The Hotel Texan! Gareth is an amazing host in a beautifully restored and antique filled hotel. The accomodations--such as the cleanliness, comfort, and antique style--would put many large chains to shame. Perfectly located between where you were and where you're going. What a delight to discover this jewel in tiny Seagraves, Texas. You'll not find more friendly, "bend-over-backward" kind of personal service ANYWHERE. Beyond the reasonably priced, comfortable, lovely accomodations, Gareth provided intriguing historical facts about the hotel and its lovely furnishings. You won't be disappointed--definitely a hidden gem!

Historic Hotel with awesome staff & owners who have a pizza restaurant next door that is right on point🙌 If all the hotels are sold out in Lubbock, which happens quite a bit, stay in Seagraves, Tx at this extraordinary hotel and awesome Historical Museum across the street!!

I went on a road trip cross country. This was my favorite hotel the whole trip. The beds were so comfortable, and I'm crazy picky. Such a cute 100 year old hotel. You couldn't meet a nicer and more accommodating hotel owner. It's right in the middle of a small history filled town. It's quiet and the people are so nice in the hotel and around town. I'll be coming back for sure....my one day turned into a week...and it was the best relaxing week.
If you're near or even if it's outta your way it's worth the stay.

If you like historic buildings this place was awesome. Like stepping back in time. The owner was really nice the bed was really comfortable the room was clean. We will stay here again next time we are down this way. I will recommend it to all.

My son from CA found this gem and booked the entire hotel and thank god he did.. our family celebrated my daughters texas tech graduation.. and we had a blast! Dancing, fun, food!! The owner was so amazing and want to thank him for allowing us to celebrate! We felt so comfortable.. rooms were amazing!! Beds were comfy.. pizza and ice cream next door! Did I tell you how amazing the owner was!! Highly recommend!!! To those coming for graduation.. book 45min away and enjoy!!

The hotel was beautiful. The room was very clean and had way more space than expected, snacks and drinks were available downstairs and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. There’s a pizza place right next door which was great after a long day of driving and not wanting to go anywhere far for food. Wonderful hospitality and overall the cutest hotel I’ve stayed in, will definitely be using this hotel again if I need to stay in the area!

The owner and his family were so nice , we were able to check in early. Due to our work schedules I stayed during the night hours and my husband stayed during the day. The owner even texted me to see if someone was sleeping during the day. They even put off cutting down trees so my husband could sleep.

Nice little gem in a very friendly town. Stayed at hotel while working from out of town. Would highly recommend. Love the interior as they have kept it from an era long gone while including what you need to be as comfortable as possible.

What an experience -- we rented the entire hotel this past summer through Airbnb for our 5-person family! I'm not sure if they are still doing this, but we stumbled onto this deal when browsing Airbnb and couldn't pass it up. We stopped for dinner next door for pizza and ice cream when we got into town (same owner as the hotel) and then had a blast exploring the old hotel. The kids were super-excited that each of them got their own room!

Our children honored us with a dinner at The Simpson for our 50th anniversary. We have never had
a better meal.The steaks were perfect, as well as everything we were served. A very quiet place where
we could visit and hear the conversations. Made us feel very special to be in a wonderful environment.
The Smith's have worked hard to update and make the Inn a very special place. They have several
rooms for people to stay. New beds and beautiful decor for all to enjoy. We will go back. People can drive there for a fantastic meal. and a relaxing place to go.
