The child support department does not return phone calls or emails, you have to listen to a 15 minute voice message literally before you can leave a message and the turn around time is stated as 48 hours when it's more like when they feel like it if they feel like it. The sad part is there was a time when a previous director required the employees to return calls within 24 hours.

I am a foster child of the state and this is not right the way we get treats is good but bad, sure we get sheltered and fed [some of us better than others] but we don't get the "normal childhood" experience. I'm turning 15 and can't even celebrate my birthday. Nobody can come see me I can't see them and I'm a house with strangers yet they expect me to be happy and nonexplosive when I go to the next placement. They want me to smile and the thing is I can be upset as long as I don't make there jobs difficult. Now my question is how is this right, everybody deserves to be celebrated from their existence. Am I so unloved that my birthday does matter? Happy birthday to me right?!

I will be looking into filing a class action lawsuit against Shelby County DHR. Shelby County is collecting "interest" payments before releasing funds that are intended for the support and care of my child. 25% of each child support payment is what I was told by my case worker. This is truly a disservice to any custodial parent in seek of support from the non custodial parent and is NOT in the best interest of the child. My child's father owes close to 5k in payments. Despite this substantial arrearage, I have only been receiving $44 a week, while this agency is collecting "interest" at the top of each payment received.

Total disservice.. crooked all about who you know and how much money you have. Haven’t seen my baby since Jan and it’s oct but I still gotta pay! How does a convicted felon, on meth get the baby over a law enforcement dad??? Child support is already too much I have custody of my other two kids! Wow

If your a single mother move far away from this county they are inhumane and unethical literally took my daughters dads side after he left me pregnant and gave me nothing but hell for seven years and ever he got put on child support and ever since he’s tried to fight for custody twice trying to get out of child support had my daughter lie after the Christmas holiday while she was visiting him they took his side and mocked me and pretty much laughed after ripping my son out of our home at the time and threatened foster care if I didn’t find someone in one hour at night they didn’t investigate him instead investigated me we was all traumatized and having to heal somehow from it all started sleepwalking from stress and fell twice they utterly destroyed me and even the state ran with it after I called numerous time about how awful they was mind games after mind games after mind games after mind games and by the grace of God I’m still alive somehow and my son has gained his weight back and drinks his milk now just so your aware you cant see you child for 45 days while they investigate you I couldn’t even be in the hospital with him he turned red in the face and they dilated his eyes and did every test under the sun they will mock you play their games stay far away from this county

Elizabeth Pardue has broken so many of DHRs laws it's ridiculous. I want to know how many of you would like to start a class action lawsuit against the Department of Human Resources? Let me know.

Corrine Matt is a despicable human being. She is not there to protect children. She is there to destroy families and hurt people. The majority of case workers don't even have kids. They make false allegations and enjoy their abuse of power.

l.My baby was taken 3 months ago and since they took her she's come up with deep cut blisters on both the bottoms of both her feet, black eye, deep scratch marks and bruises on her wrists. Also the people involved with my case will not do their part so that I can do mine and get my baby back!! They stopped visitations and won't let me see me see her anymore because of some paperwork that everyone is telling me a different story about!! All they have done is violate my rights.

Wish I could give them negative stars, but sadly that isn’t an option. DHR does not care, they do not help, they are quite literally a worthless organization that does nothing but tear families apart and ruin peoples lives. Why they’re still a thing, is baffling to me. This shouldn’t be legal and we all know it. DHR, you guys are PATHETIC.
