Smoked On 3rd BBQ Bistro & Catering

Went to lunch with my husband while waiting to purchase a Jeep at Kunes in Sterling which was close. We walked in exactly at 11am when they opened and the doors were unlocked I was so surprised and happy. Walking in we were immediately welcomed and sat at the bar. The bartender walked up smiling, gave us menus and conversed with my husband.

We ordered brisket nachos for an appetizer. I just wanted a chicken Caesar salad and my husband had the meat platter. Since we were there before 4pm the ribs weren’t ready which we completely understand so he asked for extra brisket.

The bartender checked on us often which was great but made me want to order and try more food. Our bill came to $94 which wasn’t bad for us and we had food for later. If we are ever in that area again we will definitely be back.

Stopped here based on yelp reviews while on a long road trip. We had 7 people and were quickly seated and treated respectfully by the staff and owner. We were given a run down of the menu- fan favorites, specials, how they flavor their meat and all that jazz. Wonderful food, great portions and fantastic flavor. Would definetly come back here when making this trip again!!

My server was Saleena, and she was superb. Not only was she attentive, but she was very positive and gave excellent recommendations.

What a fantastic place! The ambiance enjoyable, and the food was delicious!

I tried the special $2 Brisket Taco as an appetizer and wished I had gotten $20 worth.

My main dish was the pulled pork with mashed potatoes & gravy and sauteed green beans served with Texas toast. Wow! The green beans picked up good smoke flavor, and the mashed potatoes and gravy are the best I've had at any restaurant...ever (hot, savory, no skin on the gravy, and great texture).

The food was awesome. I had a Reuben the husband had the Pulled Pork sandwich with a brisket nacho appetizer. We were stuffed walking out. The service was good as well. I will be returning soon.

Great folks. Awesome food. Covid means curbside or takeout but don't let that stop you. As an itinerant working traveller I was welcomed and made to feel like family after walking in for a takeout. Can't wait to be back in town when they are fully open. Oh, get the carrots...

We started with Garlic Parmesan shrimp and Irish egg rolls (excellent!). I had the Sampler Platter and my wife had the NY Strip steak. Brisket is juicy and tender, pulled pork has a wonderful smokey flavor, and the ribs are to die for! Her steak was cooked perfectly and had a deep, beefy flavor. So sorry they're closing but happy for John and Michelle.

This place is awesome!!! The wait staff is so nice!! My favorite thing to order is the grilled cheese stuffed with BBQ pulled pork and I dunk it in ranch dressing...So delicious!!! Pretty reasonably priced too :)

Brisket was absolutely delicious! The eggroll appetizer and homemade chips were great and the pulled pork sandwich was very good. The inside was warm and clean. Our server Ryan was really attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We just had the most amazing meal with fantastic service for a family dinner. Pumpkin beer on draft with maple syrup and brown sugar on the rim was very good. Boo yah potatoes are a must try! Meat sampler platter was a perfect way to try a lot of stuff! We all had to go containers, so much food. Bread pudding was so good! The staff was very attentive.

Smoked on 3rd BBQ Bistro is delicious we had El Oriental salad and I had that chicken salad salad the chicken was smoked and it was delicious we also had the french fries and a couple of smoked pork sandwiches
The fried potato salad was to die for and the corned beef and cabbage egg rolls with the horseradish sauce Mike the chef really knows what he's doing in the kitchen OMG this is a must go to restaurant definitely going back there to

Our first visit to Smoked on 3rd for lunch with the family here today. The brisket sandwich was tender, so flavorful, and delicious. The house BBQ sauce was tangy with a hint of sweetness and a great pairing with the brisket. Our server was friendly and very kind to our kids. We will definitely visit again.

Great good. Our server was wonderful, and many staff members seemed amazed at how much our young daughter enjoyed the pulled pork. Love the sauce, everyone enjoyed their meals. Great family dinner. Came highly recommended, and did not disappoint.

Every time we have come here, the food always makes a statement. The food is fantastic and the service is top of the line.

There was also when my husband and I went there for lunch after we got married at the courthouse down the street. The server bought us desert because she was so happy we went to Smoked on 3rd. You don't find kindness like that everywhere.

Been about 4 or 5 years since we last ate here. Food was just as good as first visit.
Got the "Dinner for 2" which was a nice selection of the smoked meats they serve: pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and smoked sausage. Also got the poutine for an appetizer. Needless to say, leftovers were brought home.
The brisket was nice and juicy. The ribs were almost perfect (and probably the best thing I ate from the plate). The smoked sausage was delicious. The pulled pork was good but not overly excited about it.
The poutine was on point. Great dish of crispy potatoes with cheese curds and the gravy was delicious.
Overall, nice date night meal.

My wife and I met friends here for dinner on a Friday night. We had reservations but I'm not sure that was necessary. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who showed us to our table. We ordered the ribs with two sides. We each had the glazed carrots and I had the black beans my wife had the mashed potatoes and gravy. Everything was great. We had the chocolate brownie with ice-cream for dessert (must have!). After we finished, we talked for at least another hour. We were there for three hours and NEVER felt rushed. The waitress was helpful but left us alone. It was a wonderful evening with friends. Highly recommend.

In town for Hennepin 100 race and needed a place for our pre race dinner. Smoked on 3rd had plentiful portions and all of the food was perfectly cooked. Our table the pulled pork and brisket, both were tender and flavorful. Glazed carrots were cooked really well. And it was so affordable for what we got!

I would highly recommend if you are in the area and need a bite.

The food is delicious! We got the dinner for 2 so we could try everything and it was all good, especially the shrimp! We also got the nachos and potato salad for apps, highly recommend! Service was pretty good and the atmosphere was wonderful. Will be back for sure!

Supper was amazing. I never liked cooked carrots as a kid, but order a side of these sweet, healthy orange nuggets.

Had a half slab of the most tender ribs.

We had Smoked on 3rd cater our wedding this past weekend. Michelle is amazing! She was so helpful with not only our catering questions but helped so much with other aspects of planning our special day! The food was excellent and Erica and Danielle and the rest of the staff did an amazing job serving and making sure our day was perfect!
