Candlelight Inn Restaurant - Rock Falls Illinois

The best fried chicken/chicken fingers I've ever had! Staff was on point, food came out fast, and the waitress and owner checked on us multiple times. I can't imagine being within 30 miles of here and not getting some Chicken George. We will be back!

After a very long day, we decided to eat close to home. We've eaten here a good few many times. Always, but ONE time, the service, food, and atmosphere have always been top-notch. This time was excellent as always. We love it and will go back as often as our pocket books allow. It's worth every penny. Sorry to see the Stirling location close. We hope no other locations will close. We live in Rock Falls and hope for nothing but the best for this location.

It was the first time my boyfriend and I dined at Candlelight Inn. The restaurant was busy, but we still had great service. We were offered a sample of the chicken George, which was delicious, and what we ended up ordering. The portions were very generous, the food was delicious, and the price was worth what we received. We will definitely be going there again the next time we are in the area.

Looks great The 6:00 on Thursday night walked right in is that right down very friendly people at the front and a very nice waitress.
Apparently the chicken George is the thing to eat here so I'm having the combo steak and chicken George The dinner salad was excellent 🤠👍 8/10/2023
And on the way out to my car I just noticed they have a huge koi pond with a nice water feature and water fall and many large koi happily swimming around 😀

Was back today. Pictures are from today January 13th, 2023. Revised menu. Kept the the classics and added some newbies.i liked everything I've had. Still love the atmosphere. Shout out to our server Corrie (sp?) He has waited on us a couple times and always great. I forgot my left overs and came back for them. Too late but Corrie made sure I had some to take home so not too late. Thank you! The staff works well together like a team helping each other and are always friendly and helpful. It says a lot about a place when the staff chooses to stay there for years and I guess that we come back for years too

Oh the dishes in the pictures are the prime rib with mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli fettuccine alfredo with "prime chicken" on top (the prime chicken was scrumptious) and sweet potato fries, and the mixed platter appetizer

Great prime rib special. Chicken Geeorge" tenders are good too. Fantastic service!
Not a fan of the Jan Sauce but to each their own.

My wife and I have eaten here before several times before the 2020 Covid happened. Just recently we attended a surprise birthday party for a good friend of ours. There 20 hungry adults and children seated around one very large long table. The wait staff that took care of us were spot on for the service provided. The food was delicious as usual. Highly recommended to check it out.

This place really knows how to fry food. Chicken "George" is plain fried chicken; it's light, crispy and tender. Onion rings similarly fried. Get at least one non-fried side to round out the meal.

Good food! They are know for the Chicken George and the Jan sauce. We ordered the mix appetizer, it’s a mix of all the fried foods. It was so good! I order a salad and added got the Chicken George on top. It was delicious! My husband got the Porky George, it was ribs and the George Chicken his sides were macaroni & cheese and mashed potatoes and brown gravy. We all left super full and satisfied. Staff was super friendly and took great care of us! (The ONLY thing slightly wrong was the macaroni and cheese was a bit dry.)

This was our first visit to the Rock Falls Location. Got right in. Very nice inside. Excellent food and service. I had Buffalo George and we split a combo appetizer. I also had a Modelo. Definitely go back.

Just stopped in and had dinner with my wife. Let's just say, I will be coming back again. Tried the Chicken George then I had to have my own order. The sauce for the Chicken George was a little unique. A little goes a long way. The chicken was very juicy and I can see why they are famous for it. My wife parmesan crusted whitefish. It was excellent. My wife has a side salad with their signature creamy cucumber dressing. No complaints and my wife is typically not a fan of cucumbers.
The restaurant is quite nice inside and the staff were friendly. Food came out quickly, but we arrived early before any rush. We both left full and pleased with our meals.
As for cost this place is extremely budget friendly. My half pound Chicken George was only $8.50. I had two sided and a non alcoholic drink for $5.50 (it is a special at the time for their 55th anniversary). I will definitely be stopping in again.

Went for 2 birthday celebrations. Good variety of food, miss the lunch menu. Not a big eater, Don't want alot of food. Always friendly workers and good service. Nice place and good atmosphere.

Visiting family in the area, this place came highly recommended.

The chicken George was great, nice and juicy. The fried mushrooms and fried pickles where top notch, the fries and onion rings where crisp and light.

I highly recommend the candle light inn if your in visit the area or live here, it's a must!!

They're fabled chicken is well worth the visit.
