Lovely little Northern Michigan Cafe, don't let the name fool you, get your regular coffee or your favorite morning beverage, smoothies or even ice cream along with breakfast. The menu is on a traditional chalk board.

Bonus there is a gift + wine store here too with a very nice selection.

Love this place! My husband and I were in there last weekend when they had switched over to their late season menu. Still had excellent options and the food was delicious! Coffee was excellent as well! Looking forward to stopping in next summer and for years to come. :-)

Very friendly and helpful staff. The beer selection is fantastic with a huge variety of Michigan brews, both cold and room temp. The bike rentals we completely worth it, including a tandem for a five year old. It made it easy to get to Frankfort and enjoy the beach.

Came here unexpectedly for a quick bite, and was pleasantly surprised. Cafe plus book/gift store this is a nice place to grab something to eat and browse the shop. This place is bright and clean, with plenty of tables. Smoothies, sandwiches, pastries, and breakfast are available. A must for anyone biking the Betsy Trail. I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends visiting Crystal.

Really nice atmosphere and decor, lots of healthy food and drink options. they even had vegan smoothie and sandwich options (with dairy free cheese) and gluten free bread available. Also a great place to buy gifts - there is an extensive selection of locally made preserved foods like jams as well as wine, craft beer and other cute gifts. the ice cream is from Hilltop Soda Shoppe in Benzonia (some of the best ice cream in the State)

"Cafe" undersells this place, town general store is probably more accurate. They serve food, rent bikes, sell ice cream cones, have a very nice wine and beer mix-and-match selection, plus useful "I forgot ..." items and souvineers. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I had the betsei trail sandwich and iced tea with it. I also had another veg sandwich of which I do not remember the name (ending with "beach" in the name). Both were superb in taste and I loved Rye bread that came with it. Sandwiches are freshly prepared and hence take a little time to be served but the wait is definitely worth it. Staff is good and the service is also very good. I dont think there is restaurant parking available but the street parking is always available. Loads of options for non vegeterians and they do have salads and along with the wraps. I would surely recommend this place for a quick snack.

Great breakfast spot! Great oatmeal and loved the omelrita (spelling?) which is an omelette in a wrap—salsa added upon request. Pleasant atmosphere to dine in; friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Cute place, family friendly, delicious and timely food! We really enjoyed this little cafe. As we waited for our food we got to shop around the store. Would come back and reccomend to anyone who asks!

What a wonderful discovery, just a stones throw from Frankfort. I stopped in while on a scenic bike ride and had some of the best iced coffee I've ever tasted. Service was excellent and very friendly too.

This place also has a bike repair and rental shop attached. They have bent over backwards twice for us when we were in the area and needed emergency service on our bikes. Each time it was done quickly and they didn't take advantage of us and charged a fair price.

Great spot for a bite to eat, coffee, beer, or to pick up a souvenir. Staff is fantastic and knowledgeable about the area.

Love Conundrum for grabbing some ice cream on a hot day! There sandwiches are also delicious.
