Cold Creek Inn

This review is for the restaurant as we did not stay at the hotel. Fantastic dinner service! Jessica was a phenomenal server. Food was delicious! The location is outstanding, within walking distance to shops and Crystal Lake. We had a great time!

Stopped in for dinner. My wife and I split the house burger and chicken tender. Chicken tender may be the best I’ve ever had. Burger was solid - easily top 10. Jessica was our server and she was incredible!

Did not stay at the hotel, but the restaurant was fantastic. Large party of 20 and they got us in, wonderful service, food was fantastic. The lake perch was fantastic. There special potato’s were great and the service was excellent.

Great experience at Cold Creek! The people are friendly, the food is sensational, and the ambiance is so welcoming! Highly recommend if you're spending time near the coast

Restaurant review as I did not stay at the Inn. This place is why you ask locals where to eat, and do not set your ratings bar at 4.5 and up. It is one of those local gems that has a nice relaxing atmosphere and legit food.

The food here is magnificent! We had the mixed grill (steak and perch) one night. We liked it so much, my husband had it again the next night. I chose the maple planked whitefish (but I secretly envied his mixed grill). The steak is seasoned beautifully and cooked perfectly. I am normally not a fan of perch but theirs was lightly breaded and prepared flawlessly. The veggies were truly grilled. It was a wonderful experience. Both times.

Excellent food and customer service. Best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had, hands down. We were told they were short on staff, but we received our order promptly. Our waitress recommended a beer ((Oktoberfest) and we LOVED it.

This is a unique little "joint" we stumbled upon by accident when we took an impromptu road trip and needed a place to stay at the last minute. (This can be tough to find on a Friday evening during the peak season in northern Michigan.)

With that said, this boutique "hotel"/bar/restaurant met our needs. For me, cleanliness is the most important feature in a hotel room. Our room was very clean! The bed was comfy enough.

While we did not have dinner there, the food sure smelled good and the place was very busy. We had a delicious buffet breakfast in the morning. Service was very good.

Super cute town, lots of shopping, lots of dining options including Five Shore Brewery, public access to Crystal Lake just a block away. Incredible sunsets.

Steak bites are so good, I was craving them. Service was excellent as usual.

We stopped here for an impromptu lunch, and we LOVED it. The servers Danielle and Jessie were lovely and accommodating, and we were able to sit outside , it was perfect. The food was awesome too, especially the BBQ wings. I’d recommend it, for sure.

I write this review conflicted by one of the Cold Creek Inn Bartenders (I think his name was Bart or Bartholomew - I'm not sure as he literally ignored me two nights in a row when I went to the lounge for dinner..) I was in room 2 for two nights - 10/9 and 10/10, in a wondrerful room with a view of the lake. Fantastic bed, features, cleanliness, and the check in process and staff were wonderful. I dined in the lounge two nights and had the steak bites with blue cheese one night and french dip the next - fantastic food, quality, and efficiency of the bar staff. On the whole I was very pleased with the room and food at the inn. The one issue I had was both nights I took a table in the inn, and was given a menu from Bart, and ignored after that. Both nights I had to walk to the bar and get my drinks and put in my food order with the bartender directly. The bartender was fantastic and processed my orders and provided good insights into the menu.. My issue is I have no Idea why Bart would not serve me - both nights - it was odd - I somehow insulted or aggitated him in some way for him to ignore me (I was served by the bartender and the other waiters on duty - they were great and actually appologized for Bart's behavior - they seem confused that he he ignored me and refused to serve me). If I have the opportunity, I would love to stay at your inn and dine at your great restaurant, BUT, if I see Bart as the server, I will probably go Frankfort and eat at Stormcloud. I've giving a 5 as your facilities, quality, and food were fantastic... I'm concerned however for the next patron who get's on Bart's bad side...... I wish my experience was otherwise...

We always try to support local businesses and are rarely disappointed. Our room was small but immaculate and nicely updated. But the best part was their restaurant on the first floor where we had dinner the evening we got there. Really awesome food, service, and atmosphere in the dining room, separate from the large bar. We were in the area for a wedding but we had to check out the beautiful, scenic Crystal Lake beach, two short blocks from our hotel 😊

Waitress, manager and cook staff were extremely friendly and the food was amazing. Everything was really fresh and fast. My son said he would eat here everyday if it was in our home town.

We were in town for a series of geocaching events that involved biking one day, and kayaking the next. We found this place online and at a reasonable price. The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. We arrived a little later on Friday and did not get food but still enjoyed a couple drinks at the bar. We took advantage of the restaurant on Saturday night and the food was very good. We got a large salad and the prime rib and both left us full and happy. The place was quiet and the service was great. The prices reasonable. Everyone was friendly making for an enjoyable stay.
This was our first time in the area and we would highly recommend staying in Beulah and at the Cold Creek Inn.

Stayed here while attending a conference at Crystal Mountain, which is a quick 10 minutes down M-115. The room was small, priced on par with other options on the area for slightly larger rooms. The location is fantastic, just a short block from the beach and right in the middle of downtown with several food/bar choices, a few eclectic shops, and a great bakery. Plenty of parking on the other side of the creek that is part of the municipal complex (library and garage) and is safe. Room was clean and bed was comfy.

Excellent baked whitefish dinner with fresh vegetable medley and dutchess potatoes. Large portion and everything was seasoned well. (Pic is with the meal half gone) 26 beers/ciders on tap! Our waitress, Lisa, was friendly and attentive. I completely disagree with Jackie's review. Neither toilet leans nor wobbles and the decor was very nice in the ladies restroom. The patio table and chairs are sets, so I don't know what she's talking about. We would definitely eat here again.

We were late getting into town on a Friday night in July, Cold Creek Inn to the rescue! It was located a block from the water and was nice and clean.
