This campground is our favorite in Maine. We always stop on our way North or returning South along the Coast. The owner, Kurt, couldn't be more pleasant and accommodating. Campsites are large and most have a great view. Several short trails along the shoreline and places to sit and enjoy the tidal bay -- good birdwatching as well. We have a RV with electric and water hookups and lots of elbow room. The tent sites are also great and are in the trees along the shore. Prices are very reasonable. Overall, the best place to camp on the beautiful Maine Coast!

Had a wonderful stay at Sunset Point. Sites are large, private, and very well maintained. The grounds are charming. There are manicured trails along the water, wooded trails complete with apple trees, a floating dock, benches to take in the amazing views, and rocky outcrops to get close to the water. The bath house is rustic campground in style but very clean. The sunsets are absolutely gorgeous when the weather cooperates. The office has a book and DVD lending library, and sells soft drinks and wood for very reasonable prices. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, disconnect, and enjoy the simplicity of watching the tides ebb and flow, this is the place. The camground staff and guest were all very warm and inviting. I can't say enough about this place.

This park easily surpasses the other two that we have stayed at in Maine on this trip. Very large sites with nice privacy. Nicely landscaped, very clean and well maintained and quiet. We really enjoyed our four night stay here!

This campground is well organized and it's very easy to follow the directions to the office. The manager was wonderful and informative about the campground and the surrounding areas. We enjoyed our stay with breathtaking views of the ocean inlet and sunsets.
The bathrooms were clean, well lit and the showers had wonderful hot water! We would recommend this campground highly.

We are tent campers and heard that generally RV campgrounds are not that great (noisy, crowded etc). However, we loved Sunset Point. We had a nice tent camping spot with electrical (yay!). Sunset is incredibly well kept, quiet and clean. The staff was helpful and responsive. There even was a little path to sit and enjoy the water and sunset. This pleasant experience would keep us coming back for more if we have the opportunity.

This is one of the most serene and peaceful campgrounds that I've ever stayed at. The scenery is stunningly beautiful. It's very quiet. The sites have old growth trees and bushes, so the sites are private from each other. The cool breeze from the inlet is heavenly.

Roomy, grassy campsites. There are tent sites and RV sites, all very nice. The bath house is close by and kept very clean. Most sites have views of the bay.

Tent campsites are waterfront with superb views of the bay with it's changing tides and sunset. There are multiple benches along a waterfront path. The camp is well kept, clean, quiet, and equipped for all our camping needs. The bathhouse has showers, toilets, a laundry room, and a sink with hot water to wash dishes. There is a covered building with a swing to sit and watch the sunrise. It has a picnic table inside where we ate one meal due to high winds. The RV sites and tent sites are well spaced for privacy. We will definitely plan to stay there again.

Very well kept and maintained. Excellent spot for mature campers. Has everything you would need for camping. Owner was very accommodating and helpful - he works very hard to keep the grounds nice. The sites have good privacy, it's up there as one of the nicest campgrounds I've ever stayed at. Beautiful view right on the bay with a nice little walking trail.

We found a gem in a part of Maine that we hadn't reached before. The hosts are low-key folk yet present when needed, helpful with advice and information. All of the rules are common-sense and the neighbors all seem to be seasoned campers.

There is WiFi, though I would not come planning to stream a long video or even to use it heavily. It was temperamental, but usable, at our site. On the other hand, Verizon's signal was also strong enough to be an alternative...

The RV site we rented was equipped with water and a 20AMP and 30 AMP outlet. The landscaping was open and tended with healthy grass and still enough trees of sufficient size to provide many areas of shade.

Our site, like many there, included a small pavilion roof over the picnic table area. It did not rain, during our stay, but the shade and shelter outside our trailer door was a plus and we did not need to set up the side-dome we often use while camping to provide outdoor space with cover. Bathrooms are clean and adequately modern and spacious, if somewhat rustic.

I can't leave this review without citing the view. They have mowed paths from the camping area to the shore line, where they earn the name "Sunset Point" There is also a rustic (that word again) floating dock, from which we set out with our Kayak into the West Bay.

-Don't fail to take a 35 minute back-roads drive to the Great Wass Island Preserve; best easy 5-mile walk mostly along the coast I have ever taken.-

We only stayed for 4 nights, though we are eager to come back and will definitely try to book a site with these folks.

A wonderfully quiet and pleasant place to stay. The sites are well-proportioned and equipped. The grounds are well-maintained and the setting is gorgeous. The sun sets on aptly named Sunset Point were spectacular. We had four wonderful nights there and wish we had planned for more. It is a great place 2 use as a base for exploring the rest of DownEast Maine.

This was our fifth or sixth time staying with the good folks at this gem of a campground. Friendly, welcoming and accommodating owners, and a beautiful, clean well kept facility. Reasonably priced for this very nice location. They are geared for the traveling camper, not the seasonal market. And you can even arrange a lobster dinner to be delivered to your campsite. A real find!

A wonderful, quiet campground and friendly host! We enjoyed 16 peaceful nights here and will definitely be back! Not terribly far from many beautiful places to visit, but far enough away to avoid the crowds. Beautiful, well maintained lawns with mown paths that circle the grounds and down by the water. Be sure and catch a sunset on one of the strategically placed benches. Get Kurt to cook lobsters for you as he does an awesome job and no messy kitchen to clean up after! He delivered to our door with a smile and lobster crackers! Kurt also shared lots of veggies from his garden and we enjoyed a huge zucchini that he grew. Thanks for the awesome stay!

We did not have a water view-yet we loved this camp! It is a smaller site with greenery and trees in between each site-comes with a covered picnic table. There is also a place to hang up your hammock! You can walk along a trail by the water! This place is a hidden gem! We shall return!
The grounds were immaculate-our 12 year old Shiloh also enjoyed her stay there.

This is a healing place. Beside its beautiful view, the park is well kept, the host is friendly and helpful. The kindness of the host made our time in Maine so memorable. We definitely come back to this place.
