Highly recommend!!! This tour was my whole family's favorite part of the trip. We did do the private charter and it was worth every penny!!!! Captain Jamie was an excellent host for our day of adventure. He was extremely knowledgeable and managed to make it around the fog to allow us some amazing sights! The islands we passed were beautiful! We saw harbor seals and a couple grey seals! An osprey nest was also a highlight as we arrived just when they were feeding the young ones in the nest! We got to see a variety of other birds – eagles, peregrine falcons, loons, terns, eiders, and the elusive (that day) puffin! The puffins were on my bucket list to see and we had to ride around a bit but finally found a few through the fog! We also got to experience hauling up lobster traps which was neat experience that we all enjoyed. Then we got the treat of eating the lobster we had just hauled up! We would gladly do the trip again if we go back to Maine! If you are thinking of booking, go for it – you will not be disappointed!

We had such an amazing tour with Robertson's Sea Tours. There were so many Puffins and Arctic Terns, and the trip itself brought us through some beautiful scenery. The boat was just the right size, and we were well taken care of. Highly recommended, it was a trip highlight.

Amazing tour ride! Jamie was very informative, providing us with his knowledge on the migration of the Terns and Puffins. We saw a lot of seals soaking up the sun on warm rocks, Bald Eagles fishing, and an osprey nest, there was just too much to list here! Highly recommend using this tour guide, he takes small groups of no more than 6 (I believe, don't quote me) so it was very relaxing, and easy to take photos and videos without a bunch of other people pushing for the same view. The Petitt Manann and Naraguagus Lighthouses are so beautiful and Jamie provided some information about when they were in operation/how they operate now. Overall great experience. A+ across the board. Now, go book yourself a tour!!

Amazing tour! Jamie was welcoming, informative and made the trip special for us. Great communication to set it up and prior to the day. We saw lots of puffins, an osprey and many other birds, seals and he pulled up lobsters and gave us a close up of a hermit crab. Highly recommend this special family business!

Best tour ever! Jamie is a great host and guide. Loved being on an real boat, not a corporate tourist attraction.

I had a great time on the puffin cruise! The captain was great and very informative. We saw seals, a peregrine falcon, an osprey, and so many puffins!! I loved every minute of it and would recommend to anyone visiting the down east area.

Captain Jamie Robertson runs a great tour service. They have several regular tours that you can choose from, depending on your interests and schedule. Or, you can charter your own trip. We took the Puffin tour two days ago and it was GREAT. Saw many Puffins up close, as well as other sea birds and mammals, and the Petite Manan Island lighthouse. Also, Jamie was great taking us to see other interesting sights going and coming. Excellent value and a fun time. Check out their website.

My wife and I took the tour to Petit Manan Island to see Puffins. Wow! A great tour on a well built lobster boat (550 hp Cummins Diesel, will get up and go) with Captain Jamie Robertson. Only six people is a "full boat" so the tour is intimate and a chance to get to know the Captain and fellow passengers. We saw lots of Puffins, other sea birds, seals, and wonderful views of the other islands in the Narraguagus Bay. The Captain even pulled a lobster trap to show how it's done. If you're going to take a Puffin tour, take this one. P.S. YES, there is a toilet on board :)

Incredible experience in Maine. The amount of wildlife we were able to see in such a small amount of time was incredible. Loved the experience. The puffins were poppin.

We did the 2 hour lobster tour last week and loved it. Father and Son captains were great. Pulled a bunch of pots, helped them catch many lobsters, bought some to take home, really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.

We drove about an hour north of Acadia National Park to get to Robertson Boat Tours and when we first got there, we thought we were at the wrong place because there was only one boat at the pier. I would highly recommend taking this tour because of how personal and small this tour was. The captain was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the birds. We hung out at the island until we had our fill and then the captain took us back to the island with the seals because they were not on the rocks at first.

I was a bit hesitant about this small operation; however, it became the highlight of our vacation. Robertson is more expensive, but your experience will be much, much better than that which you would have on a big boat.

Robertson boats are small and they take only six passengers. It feels more like a private charter. They provide some complimentary snacks and seas sickness bands - if you need them. The captain and crew were extremely friendly, knew the local history, and had done some marine biology homework. The drive up from Bar Harbor was so worth it. Felt bad for the people on those big, silly, floating stadiums.

We took the puffin/seabird cruise. Hope to whale watch with them next time. It was great! Robertson Sea Tours should be your first choice for whale watching, puffin cruising in Downeast Maine.

Our trip was incredible. The views from the boat were amazing and captain Robertson was very informative on the history of the different islands and lighthouses. Definitely add to your list of top things to do while in Maine.

Did the sea Bird/Lighthouse cruise 10.10.23. Cap'n Robertson was so considerate of our comfort. Saw seals sunning on an island's Rocky cliffs, lots of sea ducks and cormorants. The sea was a bit choppy due to the remnants of the last storm, which made the trip even more exhilarating! Met a lovely cpl from Kentucky. Got wer, had some laughs and overall great time!

Took my wife on this tour because she had never been on a lobster boat before. Captain Jamie's boat is just the right size to absorb a little ocean commotion. We saw eagles, osprey, seals, puffins, terns. Captain gave us little history lesson of the area and even taught me things I didn't know about my backyard after be born raised and still in this area. Boat was very comfortable and with fewer people it was that much more enjoyable. Those other boats are over crowded. Definitely worth the money, great experience.

You can't go wrong taking this tour. We are able to see so many puffins, osprey, a peregrine falcon, a bald eagle, and sea lions. Jamie was amazing. He allowed enough time at each spot, for all of us to get photos. He talked about what we were seeing and answered any questions we had. The small group size is perfect. No one was on top of each other. Bring a jacket or a sweatshirt. It does get cooler on the water than the temp on land. I wouldn't hesitate to book this tour again!

Will always be my go-to. I make time to see puffins every year and I will never go back to the big boats that offer tours. Spend the extra money if you can, this small boat ensures a tiny fraction of the crowds from other companies and Jamie is wonderful about personalizing the experience to your requests (when conditions allow). You will see extra species of both avian and mammalian animals on this tour, and I am super appreciative that I can book last minute with my busy schedule and still find space on this tour, verses the others that are always sold out. In my opinion, this is the tour that should be sold out, it’s so much better than the big companies which I won’t return to after experiencing Robertson Sea Tours. This will always be my favorite puffin and seabird tour

Calm seas and clear skies contributed to this wonderful experience.
Captain Robertson was a knowledgeable resource to the history of the area and the nature that inhabits it.
This tour is a worthy experience for the respected ornithologist, the serious bird watcher, or someone who can appreciate the value associated with nature

Captain Jamie was an amazing tour guide! My husband and I had such a wonderful time on the Puffin & Seabird tour! Hands down, this was the best boat tour we've been on in Maine. We especially loved that the tour group was very small too. We highly recommend this tour - you won't be disappointed. Thanks again, Captain Jamie!

Great folks and great experience. Loved being on a smaller boat and away from crowds. Captain Robertson really knows the area and history. Plus he has the best dog.
