We were delighted to enjoy beer flights, nachos, and wings with our family. Everyone at the brewery was friendly. The food came quickly, which is great with little kids. We enjoyed every beer we tried! We will definitely be back the next time we visit!

This is the third time I’ve stopped in and I always love the atmosphere! The staff is super friendly and the drinks are good! I’m not a beer drinker and I love that they have other options! I got the cherry almond smoothie sour and the raspberry creamsicle seltzer and they were so good! The smoothie is kind of filling too!

We pass this place 4x per year and finally got to stop here. Great beers and greag food, especially if you’re in the area. Portions are modest yet delicious and come out quick. Everything is order at the counter and the staff was friendly and attentive. This whole town has a beach town vibe which I love. 10/10 will come back. Great lunch spot!!

We love the beer and food at Big Axe Brewing. We enjoyed the Betty Salad with trout, the chicken melt and chicken wild rice soup; all equally delicious!! The back room is perfect for a quiet dinner and games with a loved one!

Always a nice little spot to stop and grab a fresh pint of dankness. These guys make IPA's with big bold hops, and fresh fruity finish and Vapor Lake is no exception. Smells like crushed barley, but the taste hits the sides of your tongue and let's that bitter hoppy resinous stank saturate your salivary glands. It has a more than hazy look in the glass, and never settles. That means it keeps all that delicious stankness in the beer 🍺 😋. Around the 7 pct range means eat with, have one, or the dizzies may change my plans for the evening. Cheers guys, another hit! "How I'd do beer, as soon as I get around to it." Lucas.

Wow. That's the only thing I can say, excellent experience. Friendly staff. Great selection. Even the root beer they brew on site is fantastic. I had an excellent meal for a fair price, and it paired well with my beverages. I would highly suggest going here to enjoy a meal even if craft beer isn't your thing

Had a grooms dinner there, and the food was great. Beer was good and cold. Staff and Chris really went out of their way to help out.

I live in the land of breweries and microbrew (colorado)... so we've tried a LOT! While visiting the area we heard the best beer around is at Big Axe, so after our turtle race we walked that way.

It was the best beer we've ever had! The Cherry Almond Smoothie Sour was incredibly impressive to me, my family loved the Ale, a fruit Ale, and the oatmeal chocolate stout! The food was delicious, we tried the ribs, brisket, and curds. I highly recommend!! We will make it part of our plans each time we visit the area!

What a great way to spend an afternoon. Definitely try the stout if you like a solid beer. Paired with the nachos was awesome!

We didn't eat this go around. But they do have good food. Stop by there for a good chocolate oatmeal stout.
The last time we were here. We did eat here. Quite good.

Pretty good food, beer selection is outstanding. Like every place in the Brainerd Lakes area, they can't get enough staff - but they do well.

Always a favorite stop if mine on my way further north.

Food was good. Wings were fantastic. Had their homemade creamsoda with was also very tasty.

Big Axe is a hidden gem. If you’re in Nisswa do yourself a favor and stop in here. Jeremy the beer tender rocks and so does all the beer (yup, I tried ‘em all). The Guavatron IPA was my favorite. No matter what type of beer you like, everything on tap is interesting and well-balanced. We also had the smoked trout dip which is delicious. Big Axe does all their own meat smoking in-house. Have you ever put your winter coat on for the first time for the season and unexpectedly found a $20 bill in the pocket? It’s like that.

This brewery has an absolutely wonderful selection to choose from. The two people at the desk working were very knowledgeable about the brews and educated me on past brews that they had done. I got the sour peach cobbler. It is so delicious! And I think this is a seasonal which is such a bummer but that's okay, it only makes room for other options. Naturally I had to get some to bring back home. I highly recommend this place. It is cozy inside but they have a very nice deck and bonfire pit with s'mores. It is definitely worth the stop and they have a wonderful friendly staff.

Stopped in with the family, got a flight which was awesome and we got a basket of cheese curds. Got cream soda for the kids. Great environment and friendly staff. Clean facility.

Fast service and a great atmosphere! Tasty beer and a good menu for the kids!

Very tasty Black Cherry Vanilla Imperial and the Guavatron IPA is constantly good. Recommend the dry rub wings too.

Really good beer! Enjoyed the Peach mango Blonde. Smoked trout dip was an amazing snack! Wish there had been about 2 pounds of it LoL! Nice outdoor setting and the staff was attentive and friendly! Will do again!

They had a fund raiser for hunger outreach. All events and food was super.
