Portage County Public Library

I've been coming to this library for the past 20+ years, since I was a kid. It is a great setup with plenty of kids books, toys, and computers for the kids to play on in the basement level. If they don't have a book at their library they can reach out to other locations to get a book loaned out. I have never come across a book that the library wasn't able to get its hands on for me.

All of the staff at the Portage County Public Library are very professional. They don't get too worked up if you can't pay your $3.00 fine and are very patient as you count it all out in change. I am glad they have established a Lego club for children and adults alike hopefully. I also really enjoy their take and make kits for at home. It gives me something to do whenever I am bored. I particularly enjoy the cooking kits since I like to cook so much. My aunt and uncle would be proud of all they have done for the community including the homeless population. I love the library!

Very impressive library. There are 2 floors spread out neat and orderly. The librarians greet you with a smile and are willing to help with whatever situation you are faced with. Highly recommended!

The library is a bigger resource than might be assumed. If the book you are looking for is not at this location they have many other locations that might have it. I was looking for the rest of a book series but the rest of the set was missing. I requested the other books and they arrived within a few days. Gr8t job. !!

The Point Library for Portage County is great! The librarians and staff are very nice and willing to help you out with finding books, movies, or music. I’m all for supporting appropriate funds for the library which helps out our communities in many ways. Thank you! Kathy P.

Everyone is always very helpful and friendly. Special mention for the Children's Department: they go above and beyond! We also appreciate the continued curbside pickup service due to covid and also just not having to unload car seats for a quick pickup. Extra programs such as the summer reading program and lit loot are great bonuses!

Always an amazing experience here. Today I came in with a list of kids camping books for the summer. I just wanted the librarians to get me started, but they insisted on splitting the list among three of them and gathering all the books for me while I browsed. They exceeded my expectations as they have each time I visit. Such a blessing to have this library and it's staff in town.

When my kids were little we came here every few days. They have a wonderful kids' department, and their newish young adult department is awesome. As an adult I love reading in the magazine room. Also the private study rooms are very useful for tutoring. The staff are helpful and friendly always.

I've had more terrible, horrible, no good very bad days since Covid than usual. Then the library reopened and provided me with a better, more positive perspective and suddenly my days had more good in them. Ever grateful for our public library and the helpful, supportive staff.

Today I asked Chris,at the reference desk to help me scan documents to my insurance agent. Chris was helpful,patient an understanding,Thank You Chris it's people like you whoake our library the best.

The Po.Co. Library is so good! They're also hooked into the Overdrive app, so you can check out e-books and audiobooks online! So cool!
