Derks Park

Surprised by what this park had to offer. Good size field, playground with swings and unique sets of monkey bars, restrooms and picnic tables, a pavilion, and plenty of shade surrounding the park. Good spot for the kids.

Fun playground! My 11 year old son gave the playground a 4 out of 5 stars. He said he would like more modern equipment to climb. It is well kept. It is a good size. I saw the younger kids having a blast. There are benches and some tables on the perimeter. There is a cement circular path around the playground. The playground has a recycled tire ground. There are green areas around for free play. We went in the fall so I did not take note if there was shade. It is near but not right next to Target, Starbuck's, McDonalds, and Walgreens.

Another great park in the Fox Cities! Modern, safe for all ages and has a turf ground. Has a pavillion for parties as well. Very clean.

Nice combination of equipment that has been well maintained. Ample seating with adjacent restrooms. Play surface is deeply padded and in excellent condition as well. Definitely one of Appleton's better playgrounds.

Always a nice stop with the kids as your adulting. After a Target run and coffee grab it's a great place to all take a break. Hopefully when you read this post COVID will be a memory but it can be busy place.

My boys had a lot of fun at this park. There was so much fun equipment for them to play on! I liked the sidewalk around the play equipment so I could walk while my boys played. The ground under the play equipment is like a rubber squishy ground! Super nice! I would like to have a cook out at this park! Pavilion is nice with clean bathrooms and hot water!

In the pavilion we had a private party. With use of the kitchen area having acces to running water & outlets. The picnic tables were nice to be able to spread out having tables for; gifts, raffle set up, food and to visit with eachother. Having the kids play park a short walk away helped the adults enjoy their time together too. The short adult supervised visits to the playground helped to burn off their energy (from the frosted cupcakes). A very nice day for all. 🤗🙏💓💗

This place is wonderful. The soft rubber floor around the park is great for kids to run on. My daughter always has a great time here. Very well kept and always clean. Definitely a top park to bring kids to play. Give it a shot! Your kids won't be disappointed! :)

Great for little kids. Surface is rubber so no need to worry about wood chips in shoes or wet grass. Lots of open space for kids to play and a couple benches for parents. Plus it's close to target!

Love this park it's so peaceful here. Great views. I love the plush grass here open space. I sit here and read my paper some Sundays. Always well kept. Would be great one to rent. Pavilion restrooms picnic tables gorgeous playground and walking path.

This park is one of the best kept secrets in Appleton. Its located right be Target off of Calumet on the same side of the street as Walgreens. This park has bathrooms a pavilion and a water bubbler. It was recently upgraded and looks great. There are two sets of equipment. One is for ages probably one to three years old and the second is for 4 on up. It has swings slides a teeter totter. There is plenty of open fields to play a little baseball soccer or football. You could even fly a kite if you wanted to. The highway is very close and has plenty of restaurants to grab a bite to eat and bring it to the picnic tables to eat. There are a couple of picnic tables right next to equipment so the kids can eat and play. The ground has foam so if the kids take a dive they should be ok. The crowd is usually very friendly. It's also a great place to pack some lunch get a blanket and eat while the kids are playing. Some of the best times to go are during the mid morning before the sun gets hot. There are a couple of trees for shade. The picnic tables are not chained down so your able to move them in the shade as the sun moves through the day. They do have benches on the outer part of the equipment but they are not shaded. A new addition is a shaded area right on the playground. If your able to secure the area you could bring a folding chair to put under the area.

Beautiful park and a good amount of things to do for the kids. One thing I would say is that due to the open land around it, it causes a brisk breeze. Just make sure to bring another layer for the kids and yourself! Bathrooms, water fountain and benches are available.

Met with some friends at the pavilion picnic tables. Walked paved trail/sidewalk through park & neighborhood as well. Very pleasant and washrooms were available for those in need!

The children play area is great, they have an area for 1 to 5 year olds and an area for 5 to 10 year olds, with a soft rubber pad to help prevent bumps and bruise's. If you have small children this is worth a look.

Super fun park for kids ages 2 and up. I like the soft and squishy ground under the play equipment as well. The restrooms were nice and clean as well. I will be back.

The park has a very spacious play ground. There are many things for children to play on. The rest room's are very clean. I was very impressed!

Very nice park that is updated and has good variety for different ages. Good for the whole family and close to shopping if you're out and about for anything.
