The Willa Cather Foundation

My wife Susan and I attended the 9/1/23 performance. We live in Grand Island. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance and the setting. Thank you. We will be back.

I highly recommend visiting here, even if you have no idea who Willa Cather is. You'll get a great education from the foundation, either in person or through their app. The museum is a fantastic telling of Willa Cather's life and the gift shop has all of her books. There's even a cool art gallery!

What you folks have accomplished with the museum and all the preservation around Red Cloud is amazing. You should be very very proud! I had a fantastic tour by one of your very knowledgeable guides. Every nook and cranny we got to see in your little town made me think how many other stories there are out there in world. Left me with tons to think about, and not just about Willa Cather. I hope to persuade my parents to visit as well. A++. PS I accidentally stole my tour guide's umbrella, sorry! I discovered it when I stopped to get gas in Hastings so it's on the way back to you via USPS. :-)

If one is a Willa Cather fan, this is the place to be. There is a fabulous collection of artifacts on her, a video, and points around Red Cloud that are associated with her books. The volunteers there at the foundation were very accommodating, and ready to answer any questions. Copies of "Oh Pioneer," produced by Hallmark were on hand as well. The Foundation is around the corner from her childhood home, and the town itself is a must see.

I thought it was really worth the trip. Very nice people who are incredibly informative and do a great job. We took the tour and saw how well maintained the exhibits and buildings are.

Had a really nice time staying at the Willa Cather House. Fantastic people! A great reason to visit Red Cloud!
