Kimball Bakery/Merrycakes

Found completely at random on a trip 4 years ago, being reminded of this place made me want to leave the review. The staff were lovely and I think they were a little taken aback by British Tourists in their sleepy little town. Thanks for the excellent donuts (doughnuts) and the interesting conversation.

As a family from the Washington, DC area road-tripping, this was such a highlight of our trip. It wasn't just the fantastic tasting donuts (these are the real deal with the best icing). It wasn't also that the owner understood our allergy concerns (which parents can appreciate). The big story is how much this experience with the owner and the bakery impacted my 11-year-old. She made the connection of buying and supporting local businesses. She saw it and experienced it. She has made it a point ever since to search out the "Kimball Bakery" everywhere we go. For that, I am forever grateful. Thank you!

Delicious!! The maple covered cinnamon swirl thing I had was out of this world. Coffee was strong and very good. The lady who helped me was so nice! Also, I appreciate seeing the Covid precautions in place!

Haha one of my new favorite places to visit, it was still early post Covid and service was curb side. The proprietor was quick to the curb as we pulled up and give us the breakdown on a vast variety of donuts and coffee available. He highly recommended a lightning strike with a high voltage enthusiasm so I took him up on it... And I was pleasantly surprised and ordered another... Great customer service great donuts, coffee and a new favorite when in Kimball....

We stopped by Merrycakes bakery as part of the Nebraska Passport Tour this morning and were pleasantly surprised. We tried an old fashioned glazed cake doughnut and a fried cinnamon fritter with chocolate frosting. They were both heavenly, and when in the area again will be sure to stop by.

Gave her short notice on a birthday cake. Had it done in a few hours and was honestly the best cake we've had in a long time.

Friendly and fast. The sweet roll was the best but I also bought fresh bread and it was fantastic. GOOD prices.

A must stop. Friendly people, awesome rolls. Will be stopping here again
