Beer & Loathing

We ate in the open area in the front. I actually thought the inside was pretty cool, but we wanted the open air. There was only one person working the bar area, so I think she had her hands full. Food was really good, waitress, bar tender, bus girl, was very nice and efficient. I'd eat there again if I was passing through.

If you like a dive bar with a funky theme you will love this place! Fear and Loathing trippy decor, games and smoking patio, peanut shells littering the floor, and a friendly boxer making the rounds greeting people. The steak sammich was yummy, beer was cold, and staff were super nice. Cheers ya'll 🍻

Eggcellent service!!!If you want to have an adventure, Heather and Nate are packing the heat. I drove 3 hours just to eat and drink in another state. Highly recommend visiting at least once.

Great place for a beer and burger. Cool place to look around at all the different stuff on the walls and ceiling.

Definitely a hidden gem! Has a bit of the "dive bar" ambience, but the hostess was awesome, beer selection was awesome, and the burgers were huge and surprisingly good! When you go, go hungry!

This place is great. Nice and noisy, good food, great drinks. The lady tending bar, cooking, etc is lovely and an unbelievable multi-tasker. The people who left poor reviews are just snooty crybabies, frankly.

One of the best burgers I've had in my 49 years! Wonderful service. Very friendly we also got mushrooms.. and omg! Overall a wonderful experience. So much to see! You need to see all the beer bottle caps on the wall. A definite must and the atmosphere is very inviting and fun.

Burger was medium and it was still amazing. I dunno who was a local and who wasn’t, but conversation with everyone was great. Staff were amazing. They had kino, Tricia, billiards, and karaoke. I will forever stop here.

Took the bike up from Denver to have lunch. Nice staff and a great environment. Will definitely go back.

This is the ultimate home town bar. The food is amazing, you'll not find anything this authentic at a fancy chain. And they have painting classes a few times a year, you should check those out to.

Have a friend living in Dix Nebraska. I have gone to see him about 6 times to help him remodel the house he bought. So the first time we were there we stopped by beer and loathing on a chance. We were hungry and wanted to play a game of pool. Since that first time, every time I go down I look so forward to going here. It is one of the friendliest places I ever discovered in all my travels. If you want to just relax and have a beer or a meal, this place is a must to try. So if you are on highway I 80 and you see Kimball Nebraska on a sigh coming up, I say stop for a meal and really, I promise, you will leave this place feeling a little better about life...

My first time there and let me tell you the bartender was great and she made amazing drinks, also was there for karaoke night and it was great

This was my first visit. I was amazed by the decorating of the inside. It's a very warm environment. The staff was polite, and on top of everything that happened with a busy establishment.

This was an incredible find on our drive through Nebraska. The proprietor (I'm sorry I don't remember your name!) was attentive, friendly, funny, and warm. Really delicious food, surprisingly good local beer, fun and valuable specials, and an overall great experience. Her bar definitely earns its reputation as the hippest bar in the Nebraska panhandle ( I'd go out on a limb to say the hippest in ALL of Nebraska). If you are considering checking it out, stop considering and go already! Can't recommend enough!

Possibly the best bar in Nebraska. I am a huge fan of Hunter S Thompson so finding this bar only 30 miles from my home was absolutely amazing. It's such a Hidden Gem of this area. The service is great, the food is amazing. Speaking of the food, I love the little hidden references of the works of Gonzo. The bathrooms are super dope because they have chalkboards in there that you can write on. The decor is fabulous. They have a great place for musicians to play and there outdoor seating area is just magical. The owners are awesome people, so friendly! I love everything about this far and if you're in the area I would highly recommend it to any passerby or local.
