Blue Bistro at NASWA Resort

We are so glad to have been there because it was one of our best dinner experience ever and ever. Joyce and Tasha are nice and friendly people.

The food is amazing, fresh, cooked perfectly.

Definitely we’ll be back the next season.

High end eatery for the lakes region. Great service.

I visited the Blue Bistro again with my wife. If you are looking for a great dining experience there is no place other to look in the Lakes Region. We have a home in Laconia but are residents of Somerville, MA. We frequent high-end steak houses and Italian Restaurants in the North End. The Blue Bistro easily out performs many high end restaurants found in Boston. There is no place that can even come close in the Lakes. We got shrimp cocktail, fried calamari, and the dumplings for apps. Everything was fantastic but i highly recommended the dumplings. For entrees we got lobster ravioli and filet wrapped in bacon with blue cheese. We enjoyed a tropical mango tango and an old fashion. We didn't get wine this trip but although their wine list isn’t lobg they have great cabs like Caymus for 130.00 and Silver Oak (Alexander) for 140.00. At Capital Grille these wines are 100.00 more at least. They had Woodford Reserve for my old fashion and had high end cherries which were muddled. The bill was 200.00 and it might sound high but its not. This is a steal. Read my other reviews on high-end restaurants. The servers know the menu, are super friendly, very attentive and on point. Best place anywhere in Lakes Region hands down.

Had another great experience at the Blue Bistro. Went to dinner with friends and had great meals! Shivan was an excellent server and cannot get enough of the famous desserts!

I was amazed at the beautiful presentation of the food at Blue Bistro! The shrimp cocktail, the haddock, salmon, all beautiful and very well made. Our server knew the menu and made great suggestions. He was so knowledgeable on all the desert items I just had to try one. The music was excellent, The Bob Pratte band. Tonight they played acoustic which was perfect for inside this venue. There was a wedding party also at the restaurant and the band repeatedly played their requests which was awesome.

Couldn't recommend Blue Bistro enough. A group of friends and I walked in on a busy Saturday night without a reservation and Cynthia (owner) was able to seat our group of 7 within 20 minutes. The service was fantastic and food delicious. The personal touch from Cynthia really makes it feel like a family atmosphere. Every dish we ordered had its own unique spin and was delicious. The live background music made for an all-around wonderful atmosphere. If you're in the lakes region, this is a must for dinner!

This was one of my FAVORITE spots to try!! We will absolutely be back!! The food was amazing, service was fine dining level 👌🏽 ( we had navardo) and I'm obsessed with the atmosphere. The only bad thing is they are not open year round. I would drive here for a celebration or date night ( and I live over an hr away)

The Blue Bistro is a pleasant surprise for those who love fine dining and didn’t know “The Blue” offers just that in the heart of Laconia NH. From appetizers, salads and main courses, each dish is prepared with flavor and beautifully presented. The dining atmosphere turns to cocktail lounge later on weekend evenings. But don’t forget the desserts! Lovingly, prepared by the NASWA Resort’s matriarch, each “Hope-Made dessert has a personal touch and again is beautifully presented. The Blue is a don’t miss win in Latonia!

We were warmly greeted the moment we arrived. Atmosphere was friendly, service was seemless. We were able to enjoy the beautiful voice of Marlene Phillips, who was amazing. Drinks were great, food was phenomenal! We enjoyed a delicious sweet twin lobster tail meal and a wonderful filet with blue cheese and bacon! Truly 5 star! Amazing staff who were friendly, professional, and proficient! Thank you for a wondeful evening. This place is truly a gem!

My friend and I stayed at the hotel over Bike week and we ate at the Blue Bistro several times for breakfast and dinner. Every meal was fantastic. All breakfast on the menu was top-notch and on the final night I had the Delmonico steak and cheesecake for dessert. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The bartender and wait staff were all great. We even chatted with the owner, Cynthia and she was super nice. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I have never experienced such great service anywhere else on the lake . Don’t let the Naswa beach bar reputation deter you from trying the Blue Bistro . I was absolutely shocked !!! Service was 5 Star . Lots of attention to details. Cocktails great and so was the food . Atmosphere is still beach-ish , with some views of the lake . Live music , with a wonderfully talented vocalist . Nothing to complain about . Please give them a try !!! We will be back .

Just had my birthday dinner here. Everything was perfect…the food, the staff (Shaven), the ambiance, the live entertainment. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

What a gem! Starting from the phone call to make a reservation, our experience was awesome. The Lobster Bisque was better than Legal Sea Foods which used to be my family's gold standard . The wine was a great value. My son had the short rib mac and cheese and loved it. The steaks were done perfectly and had a a great smokey flavor. The cabernet sauce on the fillet was excellent as was the blue cheese and horseradish sauce on the other steak. The Tommy Bahama Cake is to die for....pro tip, order one for there and take another piece home. The service from our waiter made it a great experience. His name was Shaven.

If you want an amazing dinner experience this is the place! The food is amazing from steak to monkfish to lobster risotto and chicken picatta... never had a bad meal. The service is top notch as well. Highly recommend having a nice dinner then head down to the beach bar for some fun!!!

Food was delicious- enjoyed the meal. And the desert was amazing. They come out and show you all the deserts so you can see them all before you decide. Which is tough to do. The view is not to shabby either.

Started with a fantastic cocktail and the most delicious lobster bisque! Also Great eggplant rollatini. Next we had the special which was mushroom ravioli with scallops alfredo, that was amazing and had the scallops sliders, so delicious. Don't forget the seafood risotto, really well done! Must mention the dessert, one of the best creme brulees I've ever had! Service just took it over the top!!

My parents and I went to the Blue Bistro to see our friend, Marlena Phillips, sing in the restaurant. Cynthia, the owner, and Tasha, our waiter, were just absolutely so helpful. They moved us to a table that was even closer to Marlena! Tasha was one of the best waiters I've had in recent years! Yes, years. Attentive, helpful, quick. And, as expected, the food was scruptious. Thank you for everything!

Recently went to the Blue Bistro with family and friends for an 87th birthday celebration evening for my mother. We are ALL still talking about the amazing and memorable time we had!!! The food, drinks, hospitality, entertainment, staff and owners were outstanding! My mother felt do special and we were honored to meet Yia-Yia Hope, the baker extraordinaire . Cynthia and her staff were gracious and added lots of warmth and fun to our dinner experience! We used to take our kids there and rent waverunners and lunch at the outdoor beach bar. It had been a while since we had a group of us up to our lake house and I'll say we chose our celebration site carefully and very well! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone, cannot wait to return with more friends and family!

This was an unexpected wonderful surprise! We're at our place in the Lakes Region every summer and always looking for new restaurant options. We'd driven by the Naswa Resort many times without even noticing that they had a restaurant. They do and it is a find! The Blue Bistro is a funky trip back to the 50s in terms of the music playing in the background with wonderful service and really EXCELLENT food. The chef was for many years the executive chef at the famed Boston restaurant, Locke-Ober. What you get at the Blue Bistro is Locke-Ober food and service in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire! My husband and I each ordered a starter salad (one beet, one caesar); they were both large and excellent. I then had the salmon (again, excellent) and he ordered the seafood-stuffed haddock. Normally, restaurants cut the cost of this item by filling the stuffing with bread because it's cheap. Here, the haddock is actually stuffed with lobster, lots of lobster, and the prices are very reasonable. It is guaranteed that we will return here now that we know what we have been missing for the past number of summers.
