Pheasant Tail Tavern

Came in here for dinner while in the area and I’ll be back for sure! I am gluten free and luckily they label everything that is gluten free and can be made gluten free.
The Lemon Arugula salad was filling and refreshing. My cocktail was also great. The prices are very reasonable.

We arrived on Saturday (Party of 7), Rachel was our waitress and even though it was her first day she did an excellent job! Sandy was the bartender and she worked the bar and helped serve and bus tables, you can tell she's been doing this for a while, excellent job. The food was excellent and the environment was fantastic. Beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant as well. A couple of us returned the following evening for drinks and it was great again. I would definitely suggest trying this place out.

Visiting from NJ for a fishing trip and we stopped for dinner here and everything was amazing. From the staff to the food. Everyone had a smile on their faces, the place was so clean and the decorations were awesome!
We met the owner Bob and he was such a great guy! Food was to die for - so amazing! Had the boneless chicken with Feta cheese and spinach, 2x - 12 oz NY strip, and the fish and chips. It was ALL so good. It just melted in your mouth!! So tasty and savory. Definitely will be coming back!!!

This place is an unexpected pleasure in the tiny town of Deposit, NY.
Friendly service, delicious food, and a simple, clean atmosphere, make this place an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Their French Onion Burger is incredible!

Couldn’t recommend Pheasant Tail more! It was recommended by family and friends and when we went to dine in, the service was phenomenal. We ordered French onion soup and mozzarella sticks to start and then pene al vodka for entree. The food came out really quick and we even had the likes of speaking with the owner about our experience. For anyone looking to have a great meal in deposit New York, I hope you have the opportunity to stop in at pheasant Tail.

A visitor from Cape Cod, I sat at the bar on a Saturday night. Joanne, the bartender, was a consumate professional - made me feel like I was the only one there. I thoroughly enjoyed my roasted beet salad with grilled chicken. It got busy, but Joanne never missed a beat. Highly recommended!!!

The atmosphere and employees are amazing. Great food, the bartender (Sandy) knows how to make an amazing drink. The chef did an awesome job as well. 10/10 would recommend!

We dined at the Pheasant Tail Tavern for the first time last night. We ordered Chicken Wings for an appetizer with General Tso sauce, which was just right! The sauce was spicy, and the wings were perfectly cooked! Our salads were crisp and cold, and we had a great variety of dressings to choose from. The three of us each ordered something different from the menu. One of our party ordered the Shrimp Scampi. The sauce was perfectly seasoned, served atop a bed of pasta.
Another ordered the 1/2 lb double Cheese Burger, generously garnished with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion. Belive me, this was more than a mouthful!
I ordered the Chicken Breast with Spinach and Feta Cheese. The chicken was moist and tender, and the green beans were deliciously seasoned with minced garlic. The mashed potatoes were whipped fresh.
Oh, and the wine was perfectly paired with our entrées!
We'll definitely be back!!!

Great addition to the town of Deposit. Excellent food, drinks, service and atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit. Everything is top notch the second you walk through the door. Might want to add a children's menue.

Nice staff, good burger, and cold beer. You can tell a lot of care (and money) went into building this place out. Deposit desperately needs something like Pheasant Tail, since Kookoose closed. Open late too!

Wow what a find! The menu is awesome and the food is as well. Nice folks too. We will hit this place anytime we are in the area. If you are hungry and nearby, go here.

I ate at the Pheasant Tail two nights in a row with a group of guys I was fishing with. The food was excellent and the staff is friendly and accomodating. Don't miss this place. Flyfishers take notice!

THEY ARE OPEN Saturday evening. Not sure why it says otherwise. I haven’t eaten here yet, we just made reservations, but yes they are open. Stupid Google won’t let them fix it apparently

Food was excellent. Also great beers on tap. Best place to eat in area. Deposit needed a place like this and they got it.

Extraordinary find! Diverse menu. Top quality ingredients. The chef is a magician. The entire staff are efficient and friendly. A very special place.

Really enjoyed this place. Food was great. The staff was so friendly. Drinks by Sandy were delicious!

The meat loaf with mashed potatoes was great. Service was quick. The grave was dark and a little salty.
