The French Market

Just came in for a coffee and I was surprised how adorable it was inside. The muffins and coffee were delicious! More seating than I thought and they sell everything from glassware gift sets to cocktail mixers and cookies. They have a refrigerator dedicated to just French cheeses.

Charming stop for coffee, tea, pastries, and light bites. The location is absolutely beautiful and clean. We were instantly transported to France as soon as we approached the entrance. Staff were friendly and helpful and the almond croissant was perfect. We loved the paninis so much that we returned two days later to have them again. Parking is available next to the building, as well as on the street.

Adorable little French market. The decor is rustic and beautiful. Both the food and the coffee were delicious. I had the Parisian ham and egg on a roll and it was larger than I had expected. Took home a small petite chocolate flourless cake topped with chocolate ganache (no picture as I forgot to take it before I ate it 😂) and it was rich and scrumptious. Cannot wait to go back and try something new.

My girlfriend and I took a chance picking this place. Very satisfied, I got the sausage egg and cheese on a croissant and was so happy with the egg being cooked perfectly, nice and fluffy and the cheese melted. My GF got the mushroom quiche and was also satisfied. For a treat to go, I got a giant chocholate chip cookie that was also delicious. The atmosphere of the interior is very cozy, prices are affordable, and employees are friendly. Very good find, if I visit the area again Im definitely coming back.Also for the coffee being freshly brewed, its so hard to find a good iced coffee that isnt watered down, they also nailed it on the spot for the coffee, a very great way to start my morning!!

So many amazing options! But I got the French Market grain bowl.I was a bit skeptical when I first got it because the veggies were all raw, but it was actually quite scrumptious. We also got the Veggies sandwich and Lemon Curd tart, all very good! The staff all had matching "french" shirts on and the decor was like I was back in France. Just wish they had some flowers for me to purchase. Was a great experience overall.

First authentic croissant I've found in the States! Not to mention all the other food they have is delicious too. Can't believe this hidden jem was so close to me this whole time and I just now found it. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

My first time here, idk why this place would be downgraded. It's really good. Big menu, delicious crepes! Decadent desserts (mmmm brownie) that they all make in-house. Lots of tea and coffee options. Friendly service. Lots of cute trinkets for sale. Very French feel and has outdoor seating, albeit not a lot of seating altogether and my understanding is Sunday's are packed.

Everything we have tried so far has been great.
This visit around we had the French Market salad and the French BLT (Brie instead of bacon) great bread!
Thoroughly enjoyed out take away lunch next time we’ll probably stay on premises.

I’ve been to the French Market 4 times now, and I don’t even live in N.J. It’s so good that every time I visit Rumson, I have to stop in for their breakfast! I highly recommend the breakfast croissants. Their homemade croissants are buttery and amazing. But even better with egg & cheese with either bacon, sausage or spinach inside! Love love love this place!

The French Market will always be one of my favourite places to visit in NJ.
It has a beautiful and peaceful, French inspired atmosphere. There is so much attention given to the smallest details to create this lovely space. Exquisite gift and design elements can be found throughout.
The french inspired baguette sandwiches are simply amazing especially when paired with the rich, yummy coffee.
Great selection of french baguettes and fromage to choose from.
And service is always delivered with great care and friendly faces.
100% would recommend this amazing place!!

Very friendly staff, hidden gem with a wide variety of offerings from sweet to savory. Marguez omlet was delicious.

Great coffee and the best croissants outside of Paris. Great little gem ‘down the shore’ in NJ. If you come here for the beaches, take a short side trip for a coffee and pastries. You won’t be disappointed.

Great sandwiches. I had the fig and goat cheese sandwich on one occasion and the French BLT on another occasion. They were both exceptional.

Lovely spot off the beaten path. Decided to stop by on the way down to Atlantic city. The staff was incredibly friendly and happy. Such a joyful experience that I'll definitely wanna come again. My mother loved her crepes. And she ate the chocolate mousse all by herself. I had the carrot cake and it was so moist and light that I didn't need a glass of milk (which I usually do with my dessert).

This place is a hidden gem! We stopped in for some dessert and it was by far one of the best tarts I ever had. We also got the beignets stuffed with Nutella and they didn’t even make it home. Great atmosphere and great desserts!

I love it! Can't go wrong with any food or dessert item, everything I've tried is delicious. The staff is very accommodating and the gift items and ambience are unmatched. They have beautiful custom crepe cakes as well as custom floral arrangements. The greenhouse room where the tables are feels like being on vacation!

Quaint and cute cafe located in one of the best towns in New Jersey, Rumson, the French Market does not fail to amaze. With its beautifully decorated interior to their amazing food and desserts items, you will not be disappointed. During my visit I even heard a couple coming all the way from Philadelphia just to visit and they were absolutely in love with the place. I would definitely support and be back here!
