VL Performance

Went to get an oil change (from a quick change place) where I was informed I had a coolant leak. Next day my heat stopped working. Googled auto repair shops and VL Auto Repair popped up. Took my vehicle in and they inspected it, didn't see a leak but cleaned off my block and topped off my coolant and told me to come back if I had any further issues.

Next day, I drove about 7 miles, when I parked, steam started rolling out from under the hood. I made another appointment with VL Auto for service again as this time I saw the exorcism coolant spewing from somewhere when I popped the hood. They got my vehicle in as quick as they could and got me on the road again within a day of the needed part arriving.

I paid half of what I was expecting to pay and everyone I interacted with were so informative and friendly. Oh! And there are puppies to play with while you wait! Shop has a great vibe to it, prices are fair and the communication was fantastic when I left Flint (my car) in their care. Would recommend and will go back, as needed!

The initial repair was not the only issue going on and when i called the shop, Nick told me to bring it back and they got to work investigating further. Got the needed parts and had me up and running again as quick as they could! I appreciate the resolution and the communication from everyone at the shop! #mynewshop

I was having trouble with my heat, called Nick and got in the next day. He listened to my concerns and what I thought it was and took it into consideration. Not only did they properly diagnose the issue, they also fixed it the same day. Everything is running perfectly now. Best service, nicest people. Always a 10 in my book with these guys.

Not your everyday mechanic shop! Everyone there is kind and very helpful. They've been honest and straightforward with me while fixing my vehicle. Definitely would recommend.

Had to have my car towed God always puts the right people and places in my world this was the closest place to my house Nick was very informative the communication was phenomenal sending me pictures and telling me my options which pushed my trust to a new level. I've had bad experiences with other mechanics everybody was very friendly, even the dogs. Brought in my Porsche 911 for an inspection and oil change. Great staff with tons of knowledge and the quality of work to back it up. Plans are to have performance upgrades completed very soon and this is the correct place for them to be completed.

They do everything from routine service and part install, to full custom builds. Timely service at a good price. Best dyno setup in the Midwest, and coty is an excellent and experienced tuner. Can't recommend highly enough!

Could not have been happier with Nick and the rest of the crew at VL Performance and auto repair. Had my car in to get a/c fixed and they made sure I fully understood the issues and what was needed to get it fixed.

I have also had them do oil changes, replace my spark plugs and do a transmission service and could not be happier.

Pretty sure I have found my new shop.

I would like to thank Aaron, JP, and all the guys at VL Performance for the modification work that was done on my 2016 Mustang. They really did a great job with the installs and I can really feel a difference in the performance and handling of the car. Great service. They found the problem, fixed it, and even gave me a loaner car for the day.

These guys have tuned my a4 twice, initially on a standalone, and then, when I replaced the turbo they tuned it again. Enthusiastic about the software and their end result, also really put in the effort to get a high-quality tune That is good. Definitely a strong recommend!

We had a new battery, alternator, and front brakes replaced. They were so kind to squeeze us in their busy day as we were traveling. We felt much safer driving to our next location.

This is what I call a hidden gem of a performance shop. Had an alignment done to my Skyline a couple weeks ago before Automotion and words can't describe how awesome of a job was done. Highly recommend this place.

Great people and excellent service. I had a good experience there.. They offer fuel injector cleaning and repair service amongst other tuning services and general repair. Even though the job was small they made sure it was done right. The injectors I brought to them were "gummed up" fairly good. They took the time to clean and insure that they were working properly, (they can even give you a report if you want that), and they installed all new seals so they were ready to just reinstall. I look forward to having them perform some additional work for me.
