Cute! Wonderful piece of original history. So many neat things about the building that are still intact. Rooms are well appointed. Very clean for a vintage building. Linens were wonderfully soft, and the beds were super comfy, although on the soft side. We met the owner in the hall while leaving our room and she took a minute to show us many of the original pieces of the hotel and give us some brief history. Incredible experience all around! We will definitely be back.

Stayed here one night to recharge some batteries to continue a road trip and had a good night sleep.

Front desk person was really good and helped us with any ask. Food from the restaurant was really good that Bento box 10/10.

This was an awesome experience! The staff, especially the owner, made us feel at home! We arrived at 2 AM and were welcomed and provided safe parking and hotel entry! We miss the “best coffee in the world” made by the owner!

Really a nice stay. The 1920's vibe is just different.
You can feel the historic characteristics of the hotel and it was enjoyable. Old but excellent amazing clean, quiet and relaxed.
Staff are friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed hanging around at the lobby with that atmosphere vibe and the talking with the staff.
This is definitely the hidden gems in this town that doesn't show up on any of the booking websites.

A work in progress, the lobby is gorgeous, and the rest is getting there.
If you like vintage hotels & a little adventure, you’ll love it. If you want the Hilton then you won’t.

We had a wonderful two-nights at the El Fidel. All of the property staff that we met were beyond helpful which set the mood for a warm and welcoming stay. The lobby of the property is gorgeous and complete with comfy furniture - an excellent place to sip a drink or read. Oishi, the hotel’s onsite restaurant, was excellent, the yakisoba deserves a special callout. The complimentary coffee available to guests at the lobby’s coffee bar was also an especially nice touch. The coffee shop also offered a variety of pastries and cookies available for purchase and everything that we tried – from the scones to the oversized cookies – was simply delicious. The weather was pleasant during our stay which afforded us the chance to sit outside in the hotel’s courtyard both in the evenings and the mornings – it’s a great space. Our room was very quiet and comfortable, the décor and fixtures playful yet reflective of the property’s history. Everything in town that we wanted to see was a reasonable walk from the property!

A one of a kind, beautiful hotel with amazing owners.

My family and I were traveling through New Mexico on Thanksgiving day when our car broke down. We got towed at night to Las Vegas and had to find accommodation that same night.

From there on, Michelle and Chico, the owners of the hotel, took it upon themselves to help us find an open car repair shop for our car, and a way back to Denver where my wife was starting a new job a few days later. Michelle even gave us a ride to a town 100 miles away so we could catch a bus to Denver.

During our improvised two nights stay, we were amazed by the character and charm of the hotel. I am from France, and everything took me back to the unique style of Europe, from the indoor tiles to the decorated facade of the outdoor patio. The room was clean, quiet and decorated with style.

We will definitely come back and stay there again!

Must visit if you like historical architecture. Opened in 1920 (1923 depends on the source ;) ) and was never closed single day. You can get good coffee and some pastry at the hotel lobby. The building and furniture are certainly worth a visit!

Absolutely beautiful historical hotel. Everything was very clean, the owner of the hotel was so nice, friendly and accommodating. She let my sister and Me sit and play the piano in the lobby for well over an hour. I am already looking for an excuse to.come.stay here again.

Took my husband to the ER in Las Vegas where what we thought was a minor health matter, required lots of tests and treatment. With a dog in the car and no vacancies in town, Michelle was an angel! So helpful and sensitive to my situation. With so much uncertainty, she held a room for me. Arriving after midnight, her staff made sure I got in safe and secure. Very clean and comfortable. This quaint, personal hotel with such charm is a hidden gem in Las Vegas. Appreciated the much needed Bible in the room, too.

A Las Vegas couple (Chico & Michelle) have recently purchased the grand old El Fidel hotel and are transforming it into a modern miracle. Dinner features sushi & japanese dishes like chicken teriyaki, while by day they have a coffee bar with lattes and mochas, as well as a lunch menu. Haven't seen the rooms yet but I hear they've been redone. Quite a place.
