Jimmy's Port Side

This place is amazing you got a try it the lobster rolls were unreal. The New England clam chowder was the best I ever had and the clam cakes delicious. We had to wait a little bit in line, but it was well worth it!

Been here a few times, always great service and great food. Right across the street from the block island ferry makes it convenient to grab something before or after a trip to or from the island. Also, being a little further from Salty Brine State Beach, and on the other side of the street from the actual shore/water, means that the lines are usually a little shorter to order food. It’s like a hidden gem in plain sight. We usually get clam cakes and chowder here, but I’ve had the fish and chips also. Whatever I order, I’m always happy with it. The food quickly comes out hot and fresh every time. Thumbs up to the kitchen crew! Definitely in my rotation of clam cake and chowder spots in Rhode Island! Try it, maybe you’ll like it too.

Love love love it! Food was unbelievable, we got a hot lobster roll, clam chowder and lobster bisque. It was chilly but the vibe was so cute and cozy. Won’t forget this place!

Family tradition to grab lunch after a day at the beach. It will continue on as long as we do. Chowder and clam cakes are always the best here! Choose to sit outside or go in and take a break from the sun and watch a game.

Jimmy’s Port Side has the most amazing and delicious seafood that we’ve ever had! Their piece de resistance is their Lobster Bisque. It is the most delicious, succulent and flavorful lobster bisque that I have ever had, and NO ONE can hold a candle to theirs.
You open your container to a flavored aroma stimulating your senses: On the top of your bisque is a pile of seasoned and sautéed Ritz cracker crumbles, sinking into the thick, tasty bisque. Practically every spoonful is full of sweet, delicious lobster. It’s as if they dropped the contents of an overfull lobster roll into their bisque. It’s like a box of Cracker Jacks with a prize in every handful! Once you get to the bottom of the container, you feel sad because you’ve finished, but your stomach is dancing happily.

Their clam cakes, clam strips, tuna melts and all their food is delicious, but their lobster bisque is really THE BOMB! Make sure you get there this summer! Their staff is helpful and friendly as well!

The best grilled swordfish I’ve had!!! Great customer service. One of my new favorites while in Narragansett. Right across the street from the Block Island ferry.

Can’t say enough good things about Jimmy’s Portside ! Always super fresh and great portions. The lobster sauté is out of this world and the lobster with two pounds of steamers with chowder and clam cakes and a stuffie with dessert is a real New England feast Can’t wait to go again

Absolutely the best! Portions are huge. The lobster roll was outstanding, packed with large chunks of lobster. The fisherman platter was delicious and the portion was so big. There was no way my husband could finish in one sitting. Had to get food to go too. Chowder, clam cakes and pasta with clam sauce.

Excellent seafood. Had the clear chowder (fantastic) and clam cakes. The fried whole clams were out of this world. Can NOT believe I have lived in this state for 52 years and have never been here. Will be back very soon.

I should have taken a picture but I'm a man and I just can't bring myself to take pictures of food and post it.... however, the whole bellied fried clams.... unreal- the portion was giant. It's been years since I've had them this fresh and the right kind of fried. Brought my dad back who loves these and he said it's been 45 years since he's had them like this. The lightly fried flounder and chips were unreal as well and of course the hot lobster roll amazing. I've been coming here for a few years as I'm a summer local and the last few years this place gets better and better. You will not have a bad meal here- especially if you're going for seafood.

We have been to Jimmy's several times. 4 of us went last night, the food, the portions were incredible. My wife had Scallops - so sweet and juicy. Another had a fish casserole that was incredible. One of us had a lobster roll that was overflowing with super fresh lobster meat. I had whole belly clam roll so stuffed I didn't see the roll, and those belly were so fresh they popped in your mouth. THE BEST!!! Not to mention the apps we had - steamers, shrimp, clam cakes. And from what I hear Jimmy and his wife do all the cooking..... If you never been there, your missing out on some great seafood.

It's all 1 line to order food and booze. Atmosphere is great and you get to see all the people getting off the ferry from block island.

Suggestion...order 2 beers..the line gets long.

We drove an hour and a half to come here and it was well worth it. The food was AMAZING we got the New England sampler that comes with best clam cakes me and my husband have ever had, delicious stuffie, and chowder. The lazy mans lobster was so good and the portions are huge. Definitely going to come back.

Food is AWESOME!! Highly recommend it. Cooked fresh by order, not a long wait but we'll worth waiting for. Delicious

Took a day trip and enjoyed the food and the people. We were a party of 3 and we each delved into the Fish & Chips. One in the party wanted the stuffed lobster, but they didn't have any. The fish was a little greasy. This usually is from the fryer oil not being hot enough. I did enjoy it though. Oh, the oil was probably not at temp due to the CRAZY line waiting to order. I would go back for sure!!!! The atmosphere was nice, cheerful and BUSY!

A great beach town seafood place- the hot lobster rolls are spectacular- served overflowing with lobster and your own cup of melted butter on the side so you can eat them how you want! And I’m a Maine girl so this comes from long experience 😋 Lots of seating and parking too. Not cheap but I would rather pay the price and get the quality. Looking forward to returning next summer

Always delicious and cooked to perfection! We had the swordfish, which was cooked to perfectly and the fried clams, light, crispy and tasty!!! And the lobster rolls are impressive!!Highly recommend this place!!!!

Everything is great here,but the last time I went I got the linguini with white clam sauce. OH MY GOODNESS it was so delicious you cannot get better anywhere!! I'm a chef, so believe me.....this place has great food.
