We had reservations and were seated in the upstairs anchor room. Beautiful view! Seated promptly. Server was excellent and attentive. We had appetizers, drinks, food and dessert. Everything was delicious. Mgr checked in with our table 2x and was so nice.

Definitely 5 stars!

Several reasons for a 5 star rating. First of all, my server Cameron was excellent…attentive, helpful, and made some great suggestions. I highly recommend the lobster tamales. Loaded with fresh lobster and a great starter. For dinner, it was recommended either the scallops or sole. I chose the scallops and that was a great choice. They were seared to perfection but not overcooked on the inside. They were complemented with pork belly and a sweet corn purée with tomato chutney. So a good combination of flavors. Dessert was cheesecake which was just right, not too heavy but not too small. They also have a nice selection of cocktails and many options from the raw bar.

We mentioned ahead of time that we had dietary restrictions and that we were celebrating my birthday and my dad’s birthday.

To start…. Our hostess was wonderful! We walked in and she was so cognizant of our notes we made in the reservation. 10/10! So kind, accommodating, and truly a 5-star experience at the door to walk out with our bellies full and our hearts fuller.

Our waiter; Jack M - You were incredible. So attentive. A wonderful person. And when I was indecisive on what to select for my appetizer, he assured me I made the right decision.

To the chef and the staff in the kitchen; the crab cakes were Devine. The scallops were as tender as BUTTER and a good portion size (not coin sized like other places). I tasted the chowder my dad had and it was what one would expect for a New England Clam Chowder.

Stuffed sole was top notch! A decadent meal that left my husband stuffed (I grabbed a couple bites too and completely agree).

Lobster ravioli was stuffed with actually lobster 🦞 like you just shucked it. Not finely chopped so the generous amount of lobster doesn’t go unnoticed. Light but flavorful cream sauce!

Beautiful location, great service & fresh food. Extensive wine menu, nice spot for casual dining or if you’re celebrating a special event. We didn’t dine in the igloos but they looked adorable

An absolutely perfect evening. From the scenery to the service to the meal! Everything was excellent. Started with calamari and shrimp cocktail. Then my wife had lobster Mac n cheese and I had halibut. A great night. We will definitely go back.

The food was excellent. Service was great, and the atmosphere was beautiful celebrating our wedding anniversary. We will return!

The food was out of this world. Homemade lobster ravioli was absolutely incredible! The petite beef Wellingtons for the appetizer was very good.... melt in your mouth. The fried homemade gnocchi was also very good and last but not least, the ricotta cheesecake was so tasty and filling yet light it would give Cheesecake factory a run for the money.

Honestly the best food I’ve ever had. When my coworkers found out my husband and I were eloping in Narragansett, they insisted we go to The Coast Guard House. It was a great ending to our evening!

Our first time here. My girlfriend reserved an igloo for us for dinner. What an excellent idea and experience. Best birthday dinner ever. Our waiter was awesome, the food was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere in there was so great. Honestly perfect. Highly recommend

Decided to try them out while meeting up with friends. Amazing service and excellent food. Tries their mushroom bruscheta and a fish dish. Delicious. Of we are ever back in the area we will visit again.

The Coast Guard House is one of my all time favorite restaurants, and arguably the restaurant with the prettiest views! The food is fancy and delicious, the staff members are always helpful and the owner has even come over a few times to ask us how we were enjoying everything. Even the gentleman who works in the parking lot is super friendly and courteous. (Very much!) I think my favorite spot to eat is upstairs in the anchor room, it’s very spacious and airy and it’s great to watch the sun start to set over the water. If you love seafood, this is a must try. The one star reviews are mainly people complaining how the restaurant is too busy, but busy is good, busy means it’s full of people enjoying a good meal and good time with their friends and family. Do you want to be one of those people having a good time? Then check out the Coast Guard House!

Fantastic spot and great restaurant! How have we never been here before?! Loved the setting, view, atmosphere, staff, food, options, management, maitre’d, etc. This is a wonderful restaurant with a long history of top notch service. They live up to it… and more! We will definitely come here again. For us it was worth the three hour drive. Believe the hype about this place. Olivia was our server. She was service oriented and made our dining experience a pleasure. Dan (one of the managers) stopped by to see us. He made us realize why this place is such a great spot. They have created a culture of good service and fine dining. If you haven’t been. Go soon!

We enjoyed the outdoor seating, beautiful ocean views and of course the food! Cab cakes were delicious! Branzino entree is a must to try! And don't forget the cheesecake!

I've gone to the Coast Guard House many times and all throughout the year. The food, service and view are always spectacular. My latest visit included dining in one of their igloos. I was blown away! The igloo was huge, it was beautifully decorated for the holidays, had its own heater and fireplace, as well as a dedicated Bluetooth speaker. The ambiance far exceeded my expectations. If you are considering an igloo experience, I can't recommend it enough!

Beauitfully set presentation, fantastic detail and decor. Igloo reservations for sunset are a must. Prices are fair. A must see for any that can. Pictures for reference.

Absolutely lovely place. Amazingly atmosphere. Food is so delicious. View just perfect. And very friendly service. And for winter time the make igloos outside. Definitely recommended this place. Parking on the street. Winter looks like not too busy.

Beautiful magical view. Service was great. The waiter and the hostess were so polite. It was too busy on a sunday night in July and the outdoor section we sat in felt like a beach cafeteria. We had plastic cups for water and many people were dressed in beach wear. My experience in October 2022 was more elevated as the place felt more fancy considering the prices (for special occasions/birthdays).
It was still nice overall and it was fun celebrating my BD there.
The food was good overall, wine list is great. A lot of seafood options. Good dessert options. Will come back off season when it gets less busy.

I went to the Coast Guard House while I waited for my husband to finish running the Blessing Of The Fleet road race. It was extremely busy but the outside bar did move pretty quickly. We ended up having dinner at the inside second floor bar and just had exceptional service & food. Highly recommend!

Best outdoor dining right next to Narragansett beach. Beautiful view, sound of wave, perfect weather, food, service and free valet parking.
NE Clam chowder, Shrimp Ceviche, Daily special penne pasta with scallop & shrimp, Lobster Roll - herb citrus aioli sauce was very interesting that did not outweigh the fresh taste of lobster meat - One of the best I ever had.
I did not want to leave!

Update: Returned in September. Never disappoints! Valet parking can sometimes be full, then park on Ocean road and walk by the ocean side. Shrimp buccatini is an absolute winner!
