They are the best around. Professional, friendly and knowledgeable family business. Their work is always high quality and fairly priced. They will go through the process with you, make necessary recommendations, and answer your questions with impressive insight!

Super friendly and efficient. They re-haired my bow and it was well done. They were quick about it as well, despite there not being a rush on the job. I also liked that I could get all my receipts and quote via email and not waste paper.

Exceptional customer service. The place was busy when we went to rent violins for our kids and have ours checked over before we began lessons. They immediately greeted us and helped us within 30 seconds of walking in!

Friendly and knowledgeable local music store. The Beekmans have been supporting string musical education in our town for a long time. My daughter has been learning violin since 4th grade. That probably wouldn't have been an option for her if the Beekmans weren't so dedicated.

We have been customers at Beekman Violin for a long time. Steve and his family are great to work with. Steve does all the luthier work, and can sometimes work miracles. I just dropped off a bass that he had repaired (belly crack) ten years ago. You still could barely identify where the crack was. On past occasions, Steve worked with us to find the right instrument, calling suppliers near and far. If you play in the BSO or Chicago Symphony, you will need to go elsewhere to buy a professional grade instrument. (No Strads or Amatis here, that I know of.) But once you have it, Steve can help you take care of it.
