Super clean! Room smelled so good. Six big fluffy pillows! Possible ghost(s) about 2:15 a.m. when I woke up with the hairs on the back of my neck prickling, but I hid under the covers so that's all I know. Porch outside Jack London's room fabulous. Great bird sounds, good woodsy smells, and a parade of turkeys in the morning. Inn looked very spooky on arrival at night.

We were caught in a snow storm while moving and were lucky enough to find this place. They were incredibly accommodating and generous with their time, even though we showed up after hours. Def made a what could’ve been a really bad night a good one. The breakfast and coffee the next morning were also a pleasant surprise. We look forward to coming back in the summer!

Quaint. Quiet. Simple. Spotless. We stayed here a few years ago. It's as lovely as before. It's a short shoot down I5 from our home in Brownsville. A fun night trip. I love that there are no tvs in the rooms. Perfect getaway to unwind. Pleasant staff as well as service. Thanks Wolf Creek Gang. Keep up the exceptional work 👍👍

Great little place. Did not stay the night. Did not see any of the rooms. Did enjoy dinner there. Had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy and grilled vegetables was delicious. Portions were huge. If you go, make sure you take the time to go upstairs and check out the history of the area and the inn. It's very beautiful here for Christmas Will be coming back here again. Nice cozy little spot. I'll probably come up when it snows.

This is a gem close to the highway.. the pine trees surrounding the property smell SO GOOD! deer visit the land day and night, foraging under the fruit trees.. this historic hotel is very well-cared for and was festively dressed inside and out for Halloween! I can't wait to see what they do at Christmas time :)

The best night sleep at any hotel or inn in my life. The most comfortable beds, the nicest staff, the most engaged Innkeeper/Owner, and absolutely amazing food. This place is unreal and value wise...oh my God...a bargain at twice the price. Coming back to stay in the Clark Gable suite. Cannot wait to come back.

Loved this little Inn. We did ghost hunt while here and had some fun experiences. The staff was great and the food was amazing. We definitely would go back. The area was interesting. The gas station/convince store had a loud parking lot late into the night. and not a great store, but they were very nice.

I didn't spend the night, nor did I eat at the restaurant, but I did visit the small section that they set aside as a museum, which do for free on Thurs through Sunday, even if you aren't a guest. I had never explored a historic hotel before. The woman's parlor and Jack London room are the most interesting. The grounds are very beautiful and the building itself is very aesthetically pleasing. Location wise, there's not much else around, which is something you should take into consideration if you're planning to actually stay here. Otherwise, it's a really cool place to visit if you love history. The vibe is really peaceful.

Absolutely wonderful!
My wife and I came to do a paranormal investigation,
We had limited success, we will definitely be back to try again.
The Inn is very well maintained, the grounds are immaculate we had a fantastic stay. There is a 24 hour store across the road, great for drinks and snacks.
No phone, no TV, no clock radio it was great to just unplug from the world and enjoy this beautiful and and quite place.

My mom and I stayed here on our way back to California and it won’t be the last time we do. I love the convenience of it being directly off I-5. Even so there isn’t much road noise. They even have an electric car charger which is a huge selling point for me as a lot of hotels/motels don’t have them yet. I love all the historical pictures and explanations, they had the fire going in the fireplaces so everything was nice and cozy. My mom and I had dinner and drinks once we settled in and the food was delicious and the drinks were too! We were told that the brisket was fantastic and that was not a lie. The brisket absolutely was fantastic! I had the New York Steak special and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Rooms are clean, bathrooms are up to date, and the beds were very comfortable. I’m hoping to come back here in the summer so I can enjoy the garden area out back!

We went here for lunch and looked around the grounds. This place is amazing and Jeremy, Nancy and staff really made us feel welcome. We had a blast. The food and service were excellent, and the lodge and grounds were perfectly maintained. The inn is fascinating and historic rooms are well preserved. This place is like going back in time and is a gem. This is a great way to spend an afternoon (I can’t wait to stay the night). Thank you so much for making my birthday special and plan on visiting here many more times to come. Of note, Golden is right down the road and is a cool place to bumble around, read up on the history etc.

Stayed here end of April 2022 on our Anniversary trip. It was definitely an historic inn with a lot of personality and charm. My grandmother had a house in South Carolina that was built in the late 1890s, so this place reminded me a lot of her house. They have some rooms set up for viewing old photos and paraphernalia from the late 1880s and a typical "Jack London" room decorated as it would be at the turn of the century. There is also a section dedicated to the local "ghost town" of Golden which existed during the mining years starting in 1881. It is worthwhile to take a walk around the hotel and read the articles on the wall to get an appreciation of the history of the Inn.

The room we had #8 was pleasant and the bed was comfortable. The water handles in the bathroom sink were a little bit hard to turn off, but other than that, no complaints.

We had dinner at the restaurant and it was great! The pulled pork and beef brisket were both very tasty, as well as the chocolate mint brownie. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. The old cash register was very cool and worth a picture. It had buttons for pint, 1/2 pint, and quart, as well as buttons for different dollars and cents amounts.

There are not many rooms available for stay, so if you are on the fence, book now as it may not be available when you check back.

Was trying to find another restaurant that was supposedly in this little town, but we ended up stopping at the restaurant in the inn instead. It's a rather small space to eat in but the waiter has such a bubbly, pleasant laugh that can be heard from the next room over. Don't expect fast food, eating here was a refreshing slow break from an hours long road trip.

Best place to rest on a highway 5 drive!! Really nice comfortable rooms with simple historic charm and character without being too fussy or overdone. And they get the important things right with comfortable beds and pillows, really good water pressure in the shower and easy quiet heating. Perfectly simply furnished. Plus sweet little amenities and nice & quiet.
I highly recommend staying here and making it your go-to stopping place!

The food I'd seriously delicious! Super cute historical inn. It's definitely worth the stay. The history of the inn is interesting, as are the tales of the local ghosts.

This place is clean as a whistle and very cute. It's rare to have a historic place feel so clean and well appointed! Fully decked for Halloween- the charm was off the charts. We didn't get to stay for breakfast, but I imagine it is delicious! 10/10 will return and stay here again!

We had our wedding here. Our bridal party rented out almost every room for two nights. They are very reasonably priced and even threw in a little discount for booking all the rooms. They are VERY accommodating and attentive. We had a very relaxed wedding but I still felt really taken care of. The grounds (and the hotel) are absolutely gorgeous. They also catered and the food was fantastic! Everyone was very impressed! If you’re looking for a unique feeling wedding venue that can accommodate all your needs; this is it. I will forever be grateful for finding this and the staff will always hold a special place in my heart! Thank you Wolf Creek Inn!
