Great little hotel in such a cute town. Staff was great, and the room was well appointed. Bed was super comfortable.

CLEAN! I have stayed at several branded hotels during this trip and, while they say/advertise special cleaning since COVID, none of them passed (or met!) my Cootie-O-Phobe cleaning expectations. i usually have to sanitize all the high touch areas before I can settle in. NOT THIS PLACE! Only place so far that has exceeded my OCD clean standards! And no funky chemical room freshener smells either.
It is an older property--(which isn't a problem for me but might be for others) but what's here is CLEAN and maintained. I'll take clean over new any day.
Another reviewer said hard bed but mine was great--actually the best of trip. My cranky back liked it.
The GM Brennan checked me in. Nice kid (I'm old!) Super fast and he cracked me up. He also was a BEST for the trip.
I've never done a review (good or bad) but Sundown Lodge earned it. Would totally stay here again.

I can't say enough how helpful and kind they are here!! They were able to help me out last-minute. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. Being 5 months pregnant and having a place like this to stay at was such a relief! Brennan at the front desk was so awesome!

Located on main street, the Sundown is easy to find. Check-in and check-out are quick and convenient, conducted by a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Rooms are clean with the usual amenities: microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. All rooms have flat screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. I would highly recommend.

For a small town like Eureka, this was a nice little hotel. The young man at the desk was very nice, and the little dog he was taking care of, Hank, was awesome. Everything was clean, and though a bit dated, was very functional.

Friendly and clean, we got a room right away. Was very hot that day , ac worked great. Would recommend, not a fancy place but we were on motorcycles and we were happy to have a room.

This place was awesome, our refugee while our truck was being repair. We stayed at the sundown for almost a week. It was frustrating to not have a telephone in the room, but Krystal helped me a lot . She let me make phone calls anytime I needed it. My phone service didn't work in Eureka . She made our stay so much better. She was an angel to us, very kind. I hope the owners read this review and give her a raise, because she really works her butt off. She makes sure to strip every bed, as if she works in housekeeping. She is there, day and night. Thank you Krystal, you made our stay a lot easier.

The lady at check in was super nice and helpful. Room was freshly renovated. The power strip at the side table is a nice convenience to charge phone, laptop. Etc

Wonderful place to stay for a night. Clean, nicely updated, with all the basics you need. Lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Quiet, and I felt very safe.

While not the most luxurious of accommodations, I must express my appreciation for the woman running the motel. We overestimated how long we could drive and needed a place to stop and sleep around 1:00 in the morning and this was the only town for several miles. We called three other places and no one answered. Not only did she answer the phone but came down to check us in when we arrived.

This hotel has that old lodge look and feel that we love. It's a great place to spend the night when it's snowing and you need to rest and freshen up. It comes with a him I fridge and microwave, some big hotels in Las Vegas & Reno don't have that. Enjoy the rich historic buildings that this town has. Eureka is smaller than Ely.

Ok, let's get it straight, It's not a luxury city hotel. Yes it's very old. If you don't like it, come buy land and build your luxury hotel here. The window of opportunity comes once in a lifetime. Show them how it's done.

This is a great place to stop if you're going through Eureka. The room had a kitchenette, was very spacious and had really quick hot water.

Great small town feel and a wonderful host. Make sure you grab your snacks and drinks before 7 as everything in town does close.

Clean and comfortable room. Great AAA room rate as well. No breakfast though.
