Desert Haven Animal Refuge

We adopted our girl Luna from this rescue a few months ago. The staff was quick to respond to our adoption application and during our meet and greet, everyone was very kind and made the adoption process smooth and easy. Everyone we met seemed to genuinely care about the animals in their rescue and clearly had their best interests at heart. We couldn't be happier with our new pup, she's been the perfect addition to our family.

Very nice animal rescue. The animals have their own little houses in the kennels with swimming pools too for the dogs. They even have their own play ground as well.. Went there to see about one dog and ended up adopting Lovey-Dovey, a Pittbull that had been there for at least 6 months. She is adorable & gets along well with my other 3 little dogs. If anyone is looking for a well manored pet to rescue Desert Haven is definitely the place to go. Great people to work with, they are amazing.

Very kind and helpful! I really enjoyed my time there, and it seems like there is plenty of activities for the animals.

Big job to stop the kitty boom

If you have a child that is under 4 years old there is a very strong chance you will be denied for adoption. That should be advertised a bit more explicitly.

Also, if you are active duty military, assumptions about your caretaking abilities will be made by the panel/ adoption committee based on statistics and not the willingness of a family looking to adopt and care fora potentially new member of their family.

Do not recommend if you are applying for adoption and you fall under these criteria.
