Lariat Motel

What an adorable little motel!! I was impressed at the cleanliness of the place. The owners are a very sweet family even though we arrived late were ready to help us. The room was well decorated. Highly impressed at the cleanliness so will mention it again. Will definitely stay again.

Easy access to the interstate, so do not pass this gem by! Family owned, they were so helpful and kind the entire time. I asked for special accommodations and they didn’t ask twice and actually went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Not only is it beautiful and well kept the room was decorated nicely, VERY clean and very comfortable. It is a home away from home. I struggle with feeling safe in unknown places and the location and owner made me feel at home. Will definitely be coming back as I trip through the area a lot. They even have special rooms for pets!

Great motel! The staff was very personable, kind, and friendly. We were just passing through and needed a place to stay. We were so pleasantly surprised as we pulled into a very well lit, welcoming, and clean motel. We arrived late in the evening but staff were still very friendly and helpful. The rooms were updated, clean, and cozy. The bathroom had really nice shampoo, soap, conditioner, and body wash. The beds were comfy and I got a great night's sleep.

Wonderful place to stay just down the road from the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Very clean, very comfortable and quiet. The owners are extremely friendly and gave local recommendations that did not disappoint. Would definitely stay here again!

What a cute place! You can tell the owners have put a lot of thought and time into this motel. The service was awesome with local suggestions for food. I loved choosing local over the chain options in this town!

This family owned motel was so cute! We weren’t sure when we pulled up because it was such a little town but we were pleasantly surprised! The staff was so friendly and accommodating to every need. We even had the pleasure of listening to one of their very talented 92 year old family members sing outside the motel for entertainment. Additionally, the motel gave great recommendations on places to eat dinner and breakfast right down the street. We ate at 3 Brothers Bistro and the food and service was absolutely incredible! Thank you all for letting us experience your quaint little town. We will carry these memories forever.

This place is the best hotel in town. Very clean and plenty of space. The inside of the rooms look brand new from the amazing remodeling they have done. Staff is so accommodating and really friendly.

A repeat stay here for me each year. A wonderful room, clean and comfortable with a great bed. The host is super, very welcoming and helpful. I look forward to my annual stay here.

My mom and I were exhausted from a long day traveling. We booked this motel on a whim and were pleasantly surprised to find a clean, homey motel with excellent service. The owner greeted us and gave detailed dinner recommendations upon check-in. I can tell how much pride the owners take in this cute hotel. I would suggest you book here over any other place in town!

I spent years traveling across the United States and I've never been as blown away by a business as I am by this quaint, unassumaing little motel. The owners' attention to detail is impeccable. Crisp, fresh linens on the bed. Every single surface inside the room was spotless and shiny like brand new. Beautiful solid wood furniture. Higher-end toiletries just in case you didn't bring your own. A keurig in the room with complementary coffees and creamers, as well as a nice sized mini-fridge and microwave. The beds are extremely comfortable and the pillows feel brand new. Our bed had three huge fluffy pillows as well as a gorgeous, giant throw pillow with a genuine suede pillowcase (seriously). The shower gets good and hot and I never ran out of hot water. The bathrooms appear to have been completely renovated. The design choices for tile and flooring and fixtures are high-end and eclectic, yet still super classy. You feel like you're staying in one of those big city downtown loft hotels for $300 a night. Never in a million years would I expect to find something this nice in some random tiny town in the middle of Montana. They spare no expense for their guests and the spirit of excellence with which they run this place is inspiring. $130 well spent.

We stopped and stayed here for a night when driving from IL to Gardiner, MT. The owners were amazing and made us feel welcome the second we called. Compared to other hotels we looked up on our way, the price was much better. The rooms were very clean and had cute updates. The owner even makes fresh scones for breakfast each morning! Hands down the best scone I've ever had. We would def recommend staying with them!

Nice place to stay in town. My father and I stayed here on our way to see the Little Bighorn battlefield and found the service to be great.The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable.

This place is owned and operated by locals and they recommend local restaurants if asked (which are also good). I would stay here again without question.

I was exhausted and the setting sun was it my eyes so I took a chance at staying in Hardin instead of going on to Billings. Normally I stay in chain hotels when I’m traveling. I was pleasantly surprised! I loved the decor and the friendliness of the staff. My only complaint would have been the firm bed, but hey, I still got a good nights sleep.

After a 13 hour long day on the road, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a motel in a small town in the middle of Montana. The manager/owner warmly greeted me, checked me in quickly, and gave me tips for the best places to eat in Hardin. The room was SPOTLESS and even included some of the best hotel shampoo & soap set I’ve ever used. The photos show one of their renovated rooms, and it’s pretty nice for $120/night. Overall I really enjoyed the experience here at The Lariat, and you should too.

My husband and I planned a fly fishing vacation around the Bighorn River. We had originally planned to stay 3 nights at the Lariat Motel but the owners and accommodations were so wonderful that we extended our stay to a week.
The family owned Hardin Motel is idealy located within walking distance to the best restaurants in town and has all the creature comforts of home. The owners are very kind and welcoming and
made sure we were comfortable. The rooms were pristine and the property was beautifully. maintained. I would highly recommend this charming place for your next Montana destination and we're already planning our return.

It was a clean, rustic, authentic Montana place run by family. Most hospitable people I’ve encountered. The decor is a throwback to a bygone era. The outside has this nostalgia that you feel like the 1960s. The beds were a little dated and firm but the family owned and operated hotel is in the process of renovations. We stayed in an older room and it was clean and efficient and took me back. Good times. Good coffee. Nice family. I highly recommend if you’re driving through Montana and need a place to rest.

Had a wonderful time! My son and I have stayed here both during the summer months and winter and have had nothing but a great family experience. It is so conveniently located for all the3 amazing things Montana has to offer! The rooms are being remodeled but regardless if you stay in a remodeled room or a traditional room, you will find a clean, safe and homey environment. Staff is super friendly and the owners children are so cute! They make you feel at home! If you're on the fence, please give it a try! They will go above and beyond to make your experience a great one! Be sure to give Waylon, one of the owner's, a hard time! He will be sure to make you laugh! I stopped in 3 other hotels/motels in Hardin before choosing the Hardin Lariat Motel. This place seemed the most inviting, clean, and fairly priced. It's not right off the interstate, but easy to find.

The room was very clean! Being from the Midwest, it was a fun quirky experience with their western decor.
The management was very kind and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and made you feel at home. The room was very clean and spacious. The had a Keurig coffee maker along with Keurig coffee products in the room. The AC unit worked perfectly and the Motel was convenient to all tourist locations in the area. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this place highly for the low prices!

We stayed here on our way out to Yellowstone. Everything was great from check in to check out. The owner checked us in quickly and told us our room was a work in progress still. We would have never guessed that if he hadn’t told us. The room was clean and homey. The bed was super comfortable. Everything was updated and given the authentic western feel. Check out was very easy. The owner remembered our names and wished us well on our trip. He even gave us some tips on where to go and what to see. If you’re in the area, definitely make this a place to stay at.
