Nice quiet peaceful trail... I would recommend walking sticks as some of the tree debris can be slippery. Slight elevation change but nothing challenging.

Interesting rock formation. I liked the legend surrounding it. A 10 min or so walk from the parking lot, not paved with plenty of roots on the trail. It is shaded the whole way, which is very pleasant.

A short, easy trail from the Kalaupapa Lookout parking lot. If you’re going to the lookout, might as well come here too. Interesting rock formation, and neat story behind it as well. Don’t touch it, just in case!

The penis of Nanahoa. Its a rock. That looks like a penis. Pretty cool. My friend found put she was pregnant the day after our visit. So the legend goes...

Not too bad of a walk.
I tried to get my lady to touch the rock so the legend could help a brother out, but unfortunately she refused to touch it.
Thus I'm still childless.
But still not too bad of a little hike, nice to get out in nature.

Highway 47 on Molokai ends at Palaau State Park. It is high enough to be relatively cool and a short walk provides you with an outstanding view of the Kalaupapa Peninsula. once the home of an infamous leper colony made world famous by Father, now Saint Damien and now part of the National Park Service.

Also nearby is the well-known phallic rock.

The towering iron wood trees provide protection from any strong trade winds, the park is a very nice picnic area.

The walking trails in this area are interesting, I'm not sure what the long needled trees are, but they are beautiful.

Casual, good food, real Hawaiian ambience. Try the poke bowl.

結構足元が悪い道でしたが、行って良かったです。もう、子供は要らないですがね。女性は怖い^_^

Interesting if you have a few minutes to kill. If you're already going to the lookout, you might as well stop by here too.
