This park was small but very awesome. There were 2 small trails to an amazing view of the Kalaupapa peninsula and the phallic rock. I chose this as my camping ground for the trip and what an amazing choice. I had the whole place to myself with a bathroom and covered outdoor shower with excellent overall privacy and quietness. The temperatures are about 15° cooler here than near the beach. From what I understand, Jerry the park caretaker has done all this excellent work to make it beautiful. Check-in with him at his place just to the left before the park to get info on your camp reservation. Thanks Jerry!

Molokai is not only beautiful, but it has the full range of landscapes, from beach to mountains, from desert-like atmosphere to rain forest. The beaches are not only full of beautiful white sand, but lacking crowds of people! It is the most laidback of all of the islands, and probably has the most Hawaiians still living there. The people are so nice and friendly. There is so much history on such a small island. If you want a truly relaxing vacation, this is the spot!

About 10 degrees cooler than sea level. Great view. A couple of short walking trails. Covered picnic tables and clean washrooms. Good parking. Wide cement sidewalk to lookout. Accessable. Some birds for bird watchers.

We come up here a couple times a week to enjoy the views and cool off on hot afternoons. It’s usually about 10f cooler than Kaunakakai. Good place to walk, ride a skateboard on the road, or picnic in a couple spots.

Stunning geological high rise view of ocean level flood basalt flow where Historic Leper Colony is located. This view is frightening when one considers the location for the unfortunate souls abandoned to live at the base of these sky high sea cliffs, which present a formidable fortress to their captors.
Unbelievably cruel location for human life.

One of the most beautiful, unspoiled locations on the planet with a spectacular view of the Kalaupapa Peninsula. The beauty is juxtaposed to the agony experienced 2000+ feet below by generations of families with leprosy. Try to be here when the clouds pass through the park, eerie yet cool and beautiful. The long haired pines lace the trails as you head to phallic rock for any number of fertility rituals (Google it). Eucalyptus trees fill the air with their pungent odour as the wind whispers through the pines. You will not find a place more natural, organic or peaceful in Hawaii! And of course there is always the Mule ride that starts very close by!

Definitely a visit when on Molokai, great vista of Kaulapapa. The short hike to phallic rock is fairly easy.

This is an awesome place to hike. The hike down to the Kalaupapa Peninsula is a challenging 3 mile hike, be way.
