The best lunch sandwich I have ever had was here. The butternut squash sandwich is unforgettable, the perfect combination of textures and flavors. The soft squash is a great vegetarian option for a sandwich. I still think about how incredible this tasted, for a very fair price as well.

When I am back in Boston I need to try the cauliflower curry sandwich from this place. The chai tea was better than average as well. The chocolate chip cookie was disappointing though, not soft and didn’t taste fresh. Fantastic spot for a midday lunch break if you can grab one of the few tables available.

Arrived on Saturday late morning for lunch. Ordered two sandwiches: braised lamb, and achiote chicken! Wanted go indulge and get the sticky buns for dessert, but atlas they ran out already.

Both sandwiches were 10/10!!!!!
The lamb was flavorful and very filling. Whereas the achiote chicken was light and refreshing.

Cozy atmosphere and great bakery selection. We enjoyed the quiche and breakfast sandwich. The food is of good quality and flavor. We also ate a sticky bun, the caramel sauce and pecans are the perfect combination.

The food here is hella good and a great value. There are a lot of options from breakfast sandwiches to wraps and salads. All the pastries are superb. The bread is awesome and the food is fresh. The coffee and tea are of great quality. It is also a good spot to come and get a little work done.

September 27, 2023: The cucumber spritzer is gone! How is this possible? I had one just last week. An employee said it was a summer special. The new drink, cherry vanilla spritzer is quite good, but nothing like that amazing cucumber seltzer. The bread on the roast beef sandwich was thick and not tasty like previously. Salmon salad is excellent.

August 20, 2023: There are several new drinks and they are all excellent: Lemon limeade and the cucumber spritzer. The cucumber is my new favorite drink. The lamb sandwich has disappeared 🤔. I tasted the coconut cake and the birthday cake. Birthday cake is lovely. Flour's coconut cake is as good or even better than the one Tom Cruise orders from Doan's Bakery for his friends.

Update: June 20, 2023. There is a new version of the lamb sandwich and it is a delight. I miss the tomato chutney from the 2008-2014 lamb sandwich version. If there is anyway Flour can make the tomato chutney and charge a fee, people would buy it. That chutney with the lamb sandwich was magical.

Also tried the sparkling rhubarb drink, which is fantastic and unlike any soda I've ever tasted. Totally recommend.

Old review: The Cubano had a lot of ham, crunchy pickles, and flavorful mustard. All the flavors combined well. One of the best Cubanos I've ever tasted. The cupcake with the blackberry frosting was very good. Flour had run out of the lemon-lime soda that is used to top off the raspberry seltzer so they offered to top off with ginger ale. The Flour Bakery at this location on Washington Street in the South End was the first one and still the best.

Service is terrific. Accidentally got charged once for something I considered ordering and didn’t. I would have taken it since I paid but they insisted on refunding me. Three people apologized. Everything is delicious! Just some sandwiches are smaller than others.

This has recently become a favorite place of mine! The staff is always friendly and helpful! The coffee drinks are great, special note, the cold brew is very strong (which I appreciate)!

The food that I’ve tried has always been good! And the bakery items are amazing!

Highly recommend this place!

We walked in for a couple of desserts and Flour Bakery did not fail to impress us.

The triple chocolate mousse and chocolate cream pie were rich and stood out on its own 🥧
The brown sugar almond meringue had an interesting flavor profile and it just melts in your mouth ❤

Would personally go there again😍 and recommend it to all of you.

FLOUR Bakery! I have been going here still before I had a little one! One of the best treat MADE FRUIT TART!!!! And in the summer they add mango pieces.

The food here is soooo good! Especially the salads, always fresh. They may always have a line but its worth it, the employees are nice and the food is good. Who wouldn’t want to come here !!!

Some nice treats and nice place for breakfast. The egg souffle in the breakfast was very nice. The pop tart was quite sweet and great with a coffee.

Incredible bakery! They have a wide selection of food and drink options. For food, a big selection of sweet and savory baked goods - the sticky buns are out of this world. Also egg sandwiches and other hot food made to order. Lots of coffee drinks to go with the baked goods. A must do when in Boston, highly recommend!

This place was really good for lunch! Had a BLT sandwich with added chicken. It was a little pricey, but worth it. Good location as well! Matcha was delicious. Would recommend :)

Tried the coconut cream pie. Was great. Reached there after 1 pm on Saturday morning, so they were out of sticky bun and Boston cream pie.

I love flour café! It’s probably one of my favorite cafes and bakeries in Boston! They have wonderful coffee, matcha, and food selections from sandwiches to salads to bakery items! They have locally made almond milk and oat milk as options for nondairy drinks and quite a few selections of bakery items for different allergens. I frequent they are often.

Flour can be a place for your daily coffee, a celebration, or just because. It really will fill your heart with joy! I recently celebrated a friend’s birthday with their vanilla cupcakes with salted caramel icing and they were a hit. People absolutely adored them! I haven’t found anything from Flour to disappoint.

We had a delightful visit to Flour on a late Sunday morning. They had a yummy smoked salmon sandwich special that had a perfectly crisp multigrain bread and a balance of arugula and lemon to compliment the salmon. The scone with clotted cream and jam had a great crumble and filling ratio. This location was busy but manageable to get a table.
