Tour was given by Liz this past Saturday. It was so personal and incredibly informative. The home and history are stunning and Liz’s enthusiasm really shines through. This experience was booked for me by a family member and I could have been more pleasantly impressed.

We had a great guide on a Sun (cant remember her name) but she was full of energy and you caught her excitement. The family that owned the house was quite amazing with female carpenters and landscape designers so it's quite the story along with a cool house. Def should go!

This living museum was a fantastic experience. Liz our tour guide was insightful, welcoming and no question was too outlandish to warrant an answer.

Thanks Liz for letting me wax lyrical over the 1930s bathroom and sweetheart toaster!

Informative guide & very progressive family who helped their community & preserved their lovely home. Hand-carved woodwork & old worldly art & intricate embroidery. Lots of amazing things to admire & learn about!

We had a tour that ended up being just the two of us. Our guide was knowledgeable and helped with questions about the area. Made a stop to get out of the rain, but it was worth it.

My first visit to the Nichols House was for the Craftswoman and Collector tour. The staff was welcoming, the tour guide very knowledgeable and answered many questions. The home is beautiful and I was left with a good sense of the Nichols family and history of the home. Well worth a visit.

I had such a great time visiting this place where I could imagine myself living in this house. Liz was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. She also tailors the tour base off of your interests. The interior and decor were really interesting especially I got to learn about some history and how people at the time use their furniture differently in this Bostonian federal house. It was a really rewarding visit. Highly recommended!

I’ve walked about Beacon Hill many times. I always wanted to see the inside of one of these beautiful houses and wondered who lived here. Excellent tour! The items are all original. The family was involved in the art world as well as activities going on in that time period. The tour guide was so interesting! I will surely go again!

I lucked out and had a private tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and as someone born and raised in the area it was so interesting to connect the dots on families, artists, and other contributors to Boston's history that I hear about today. The rooms in the home were beautifully preserved and really gave me an appreciation for life back in the day!

For a taste of Boston's history this lovely house will not disappoint you. Tours are limited to small groups so you can really enjoy the house and it's furnishings. The family history is a fascinating story of how well- to-do Bostonians lived.

Wow! Awesome little museum in the heart of Beacon Hill which provides fascinating insight into the upper echelons of turn-of-the-century New England. Our tour guide, Evan, was brilliant and so generous in sharing his deep knowledge and admiration of the Nichols sisters with us. Thank you, Evan!

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour --raining outside and the new Director was very kind and helpful. I would go again and only wish the kitchen had been restored --more info about cooking, meals, and gardening during that period would be nice.

Great little museum to explore the local Boston history! The tour is very well organized and explained, and the house is filled with unique items and character from the previous inhabitants.

While the building is gorgeous and takes you back in time, the best part about the Nichols House is the story of the woman who lived there! My favorite historical home tour in Boston.
