I love everything about the Central Rappahannock Regional Library. They keep a beautiful selection of books and are responsive to requests for new purchases. The librarians and other staff are kind and helpful and solicitous. The library provides incredible resources far beyond just books and movies. There are great classes for people of all ages and all walks of life. I just cannot say enough good things about our wonderful library system.

This was my first visit to this branch, and I brought my children. The building is actually quite old, and was clearly not originally a library. Some of the front windows are clearly doors that they closed up when they redesigned on the inside.
Unlike other branches, this one has multiple floors. This helps separated things a little... But still feels weird. The collection includes movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and of course... Books. They also have nice sections for kids, and teens, and everyone else. The layout is a little strange... But the staff is happy to guide you. There are meeting rooms that weren't part of the original building, but the space between has been covered by skylights, and turned into a mini-art gallery. It's very nice. All and all... I'm very happy with this branch. The only complaint is the parking. It's around back, and pretty small. And the one-way streets make getting there a little awkward.

It’s very cool, calm, and great place. I love the separate floors according to all age. Especially the kids floor, they have a room for babies too.

Love working on the Glowforge laser cutter at Idea Space. I've used, wood, leather, cork, metal business cards and acrylic. My earring, plaques and assorted coasters have made great presents for friends and relatives.

Today I needed to fax off some important paperwork, so I went to visit the downtown Fredericksburg library and it was the best decision I could of made. The library looked great, the atmosphere was friendly and the service the I received from Elaina was exceptional. (hopefully I am saying her name correctly) because she got up from the computer lab desk and helped and guided me through the process. Also the staff members that past by the fax machine asked me if I was ok or if I needed help... A fantastic staff and thank you all.

love this library. They give so much to the community and only keep making it better. I've gone back to pick up again with covid coming back and they are always quick and friendly in the service. I love that I can get my favorite authors new books by placing them on hold and waiting. Thank you Fredericksburg branch of Rappahannock Regional Library!

8 mile marker for The Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon was located at the rear of the library. The race was back on track, after a two year hiatus, hopefully next year more residents will be out to lend their support.

This is a fairly large library situated in downtown Fredericksburg. The first floor has computers and copy machines. The 2nd floor really deserves some recognition being dedicated for teens and young kids. The 3rd floor has some quiet areas and reference materials. The stairs are a bit warm due to the age of the building and lack of hvac but, overall, it's definitely worth a visit. Parking is offered in the back.

I absolutely adore this place, the kids section is HUGE and the librarians are all absolutely amazing. Polite as can be. I highly recommend the wonderful, color atmosphere they have created for this community. Wonderful selection of books, I love the adult sections, and the tern area is a great, cozy place to hang out with your friends! Thank you Rappahannock regional library.

The staff is passionate and caring about all things reading, especially those on the children's floor. They have wonderful events for kids. The set up is truly remarkable as every floor offers something different. As someone who has lived all over and seen a lot of libraries, I can say this library is a treasure.

This library CLEARLY loves the next generation of readers and pours a lot of resources into loving on the little ones. I've been taking my three year old for a while and every time, my respect and amazement for the librarians on the children's floor grows. They go above and beyond to make the kids floor a good, functioning, well-done library, but so much more on top of that. They make grab-and-go bags of picture books and board books to check out, themed, and oftentimes they draw little bits of artwork related to the theme on the bag. These bags are a lifesaver for me sometimes because my little doesn't always have the attention span to grab some books to bring home. They have a scavenger hunt that changes every so often, where they hide little printouts of things/characters and you can cross them off a sheet when you find them and get a sticker if you find them all. They make little activity work bags, usually themed for the holidays. For instance, Thanksgiving was a turkey activity, including a bunch of PRE-CUT bits of paper to be the feathers, printouts of activities like word searches and coloring pages, etc. Halloween was cutouts of little spiders, a paper plate, and pre-cut pieces of string to tape onto the plate and make a web. They just brought back story time after what I understand to be a long hiatus—thanks, COVID—not just once a week but now twice a week at this branch. Story time has reading, songs, activities, etc. They even have a little playroom with giant lego-like blocks, puzzles, play kitchen, table, push toys and more, and incredible murals on the walls inside that room. The librarians are always helpful, clearly great with kids, clearly love what they do there. The level of dedication, resources, diligence, and excellence they bring to the children's floor makes this library one of the absolute gems of Fredericksburg for me. And we still haven't come even close to making it through all the picture books. We have discovered some truly wonderful stories in this selection, WAYYYYY better than a bookstore like Barnes and Noble. A bunch of those, as you probably won't be surprised to learn, are books the librarians had put out on display.

For adults, I'm into nonfiction way more than nonfiction, and I've been very happy with the selection of nonfiction. I haven't had nearly as much opportunity to explore—because three year old—but I've found the online account to be super helpful for placing holds that I can pick up quickly when we're there.

Love this place. 10/10 recommend

Liked the library especially the architecture inside. The staff were super polite and made our 1st trip to the library outstanding. My 4 yr old, my 14 yr old, my wife, and I were very pleased!

Awesome resource for the entire community. Art exhibits, concerts, plays, meeting spaces, study help, books, e-books, streaming, notary, classes, workshops, computers, wifi, printers, faxes, bathrooms, air conditioning, warmth, interaction with other people and ideas. Oh, and IdeaSpace: sound equipment, video equipment, sewing machines, 3d printers, glowforge, and a robot. Don't miss the robot.

So many books. Comfy places to read. Extra floors, filled to a comfortable compacity. The process to get a Library Card is SO easy. Hard to get a computer sometimes, but calling the Computer Department and making an "appointment" makes the process SO quick! The Librarians are SO helpful, patient and kind! Thank all y'all Ladies! Love the smell of old & new books!!

LOVE this library! The staff is friendly, the location is super convenient, and the layout is user friendly. There always seems to be quite a few people in it browsing for new books so I don't think I'm alone in my views. It's a welcome and wonderful addition to downtown Fredericksburg.
